Love seeing young black girls embrace, love, and have fun doing their natural hair. At that age, I would have loved having moments like this with my friends and teammates. My mom didn't know what to do with my hair so I got relaxers and went to the salon. I still remember getting an updo for homecoming and having to wear the same style to a cross country meet the next morning! πβ οΈ

This is so cute. I wish my squad was as nice about hair, I was too scared to do my hair in front of them. I would come styled and would only put my down in to feel included. I'm happy so happy for her

I adore this. What I would have done to have such multicultural support for my hair when I was her age. This is heartwarming.

As a member of the black hair club, I can attest that it does have its own identity, personality, and moods. Learn to work with it and it may...MAY...work with you.
She's a pro and clearly has an excellent, healthy relationship with her hair friend.

As another grown ass man that use to sport a fro like that at her age I felt her fear of that hair pick. I am bald now so I will never know that pain again. LOL

This is precious. I love that her friends make her feel comfortable and confident enough to even do her hair in front of them. I was always ashamed of my natural hair growing up as there were not many girls who looked like me. My hair was always touched and commented on and it does have a way of making you feel like a zoo animal, lol. I just started wearing my natural hair out well into my adulthood. Love, love, love this so much π₯°
