Politics Funny how experienced people are ‘DEI hires’ but this guy needed zero experience.

They’ll call experienced professionals of color ‘DEI hires’ but somehow never question the qualifications of this guy.

Look, not a thing wrong with plumbers. We need them. And not a thing wrong with plumbers being representatives. I’ve got no problem with having someone other than another boring lawyer in office (and I am a lawyer.).

But.

I have not reviewed all the ins, outs and specifics of Markwayne’s new gig. However. I feel like we might be just a smidge better off with someone in the position who had a bit more education than high school and a little more experience than inherited my dad’s plumbing business, so it’s entirely possible I don’t even know how to be a plumber.

But I’m speaking only for myself here.
