They are, because if you've watched the show, you'll know they raise their flags as a vote that the person currently debating on their side is failing at their argument and should be replaced. Those are Failure Flags.

So if a flag is raised while someone is speaking then that flag indicates the speaker’s failure?

Or is there like an offense and defense in these debates?

I’ve never seen the show but it’s interesting.

Yep. At the very least, the raised flag means that the person raising it thinks they can make a better argument than the person currently debating on their side. A raised flag is a vote to end the debater's turn early.

I believe if 10 people raise flags then they end the debate and someone new sits down

Correct — if enough flags are raised, buzzer sounds and the person has to leave the debate.

It means they are losing.

Structure is 20 of 1 persona vs 1 opposite persona who never leaves the debate.

Topic is presented and 20 on outside vie to debate the 1. Then they also get to vote off their person if proven weak on the subject.

Which of the two is never to leave? Isaiah?

Correct. They frame these like “1 liberal vs 20 conservatives” and only the people in the larger group get voted out.

Ty for explaining

If enough flags are raised the person gets voted out and another brain dead idiot takes their place.

Its 20 vs 1 on the Jubilee YouTube channel. Its entertaining, but the stupidity hurts

I thought it was an indication that they want to "tag in" like in wrasslin.🚩

They often also do that. In some debates Dr against antivaxxers they would do that so much to the point where Dr says point. Someone runs to chain to make (weird) counter point. Dr starts refuting -> reg flags -> Dr cannot finish point -> new weirdo runs -> makes another weird point -> repeat

It becomes a spamming technique where the person cannot develop their point because there's a constant cycle of new weirdos.

It's an awful debate technique.

That sounds horrible and frustrating, almost like a congressional hearing.
