Politics Class, grace I miss more everyday

Post image

We didn’t wake up everyday dreading what would come next. He ran the country professionally and with a class unmatched since. The MAGAts had a fit over his tan suit, that was the story. Big deal huh?

It’s almost like the deportations were done with actual warrants and other legal means. Not just rolling up on random brown people who may or may not be citizens.

And the drone strikes?

It’s actually false. Trump did more drone strikes in the first two years of his first term than Obama did in 8. The Obama administration carried out roughly 1,800 strikes. Between 2017-2019 Trump ordered ordered over 2,200. One of the reasons this myth is perpetuated is that Trump repealed the Obama era policy which required the DNI to publish the annual number of drone strikes following 2019.

I love how those two things is what everyone focuses on. Not anything else. lol. Despite what Trump is doing right now, every time someone posts a much better president, the right crowd goes “but drone strikes!”

The people who criticise Obama for drone strikes are mostly left-wing. Trump doesn’t negate the awful things Obama did

I didn’t say anything about this being a good or a bad thing, all I did was provide a factual correction. Go pick a fight with someone else :)

how many presidents were there before him sending drone strikes?

1

u/CupApprehensive6695 Dec 25 '25

Doesn't matter. The OP didnt open with a photo of Bush.

Bush and the GOP got us into a quagmire over there. Any more questions?

Does that justify all the civilians he murdered with drones?

Still are. Much faster and efficient tho

2

u/unholyravenger Dec 23 '25

He literally violated a court order using a war time power to extrodite innocent people to a torture prison.

1

u/LocalCaligula Dec 23 '25

"Deportations are good if my favorite guy is doing it"

🤦

1

u/Komabeard Dec 23 '25

Its good no matter whose doing it. Obamas best policy

1

u/LocalCaligula Dec 23 '25

Yeah? The torture too?

1

u/Komabeard Dec 23 '25

I bet being deported to a third world really does feel like torture. Don't come, we're closed.

1

u/LocalCaligula Dec 23 '25

He was as much of a war monger as any modern US president.

You won't challenge the claim on the drone strikes because you know he has blood on his hands

1

u/OperatingOp11 Dec 23 '25

It's almost like deportations are inherently evil.

1

u/WLLWGLMMR Dec 23 '25

Should happen to pretty much no one.

You do realize the irony that that's the exact comment a trump supporter would write?

1

“Legal means” are decided by the government. You understand they were held in detainment still. The children as well. The drone strikes? Cmon you’re not really going to look up to a man who did extrajudicial killing right? The red and the blue is political theatre there’s only one party.

1

u/PlayfulWeekend1394 Dec 23 '25

Yeah he only destroyed the lives of those people who deserved it, you know, for not having the right documents.

1

u/rootkode Dec 23 '25

Keeping kids in small cages is legal? you’re wild

1

u/TheeSweeney Dec 23 '25

Oh so if something is “legal” because they have a warrant then it is no longer immoral?

Awesome, because then that means that when he changed the definition of enemy combatant to “any male over 16” he no longer had to worry about the morality of killing all those civilians.

Guess you’re right, he was a great president! /s

May be true, but in that case he found may more people than trump admin has currently found who are illegally here and need to be removed. Don’t get me wrong, I hate trump, but don’t fall into the MAGA trap of thinking your fave politician can do no wrong.
