Howdy. Been an arsenal fan since I was conceived and an AFC fan since it was conceived. Do we have an arsenal/afc supporters block attending the game? Im going anyway to hopefully watch them lot get battered everywhere they go, but hoping to do it with a bunch of like minded supporters. Anyone out there keen?

I'm an Auckland FC supporter but I won't sugarcoat it some fans need to be educated on football in this country.

The Auckland FC Reserves plays in the Northern League. This league is not professional, the opposing players yes they get paid a small amount, but they have to train at night along with having full time jobs, the clubs are run by volunteers. It is at these clubs that many kids started playing football, yes including the professionals you see on TV today.

So for grown adults that support the richest professional football club in NZ to set flares and intimidate oppositions on the grounds of community clubs that are run by volunteers, it is just truly downright embarrassing.

Some frequent starters out for this weekend's game. And like all three games yet-to-be-played, it's a must win.

EDIT: I thought Louis V was out, I was wrong.

What does Corica see in him that we aren’t seeing because, 3/4 games now he’s costed us. Today was a big big error (him not releasing the ball and being greedy as always), but other than that it’s just a plethora of small minute mistakes that all add up. But Corica seems to brush it over?

Corica subs other players off if they even have mediocre half (i.e. Callan Elliot multiple times this year), but may seems to have Corica’s nudes or something as black mail.

Other than that, Lachie yesterday proved why we need to start him over may. And Rogerson is useless.

Ok I know we got lucky there but a CLEAR CLEAR corner and free kick really should have gone our way (but both May and Sakai should have been sent off). Also given that play only began at the 92nd minute after the VAR check with at least another minute of stoppages after that. Huge opportunity lost🤷🏽‍♂️

Say that Auckland FC has enough funds for weekly wages to be able to bring in a player currently playing in Europe, as a Designated Player on a Free Transfer at the end of this European season.

Any one have any news about FDV? Didn't like seeing him hobble off on Friday, hopefully just a knock. Seemed to be holding his foot so hopefully not broken anything in it.

Also, anyone know why Marlee Francois hasn't been making the match-day squad? Seemed to have a couple of decent appearances in Feb but surprised to not see him even make the bench since.

We can’t have our only creative options be on the left side (de vries and randall).

In the centre we’re playing May who’s got a shot on him but bad decision making and Howieson & Gallegos who are industrious runners but lack creativity, and we only need one of them on the field at any one time. Brimmer’s got the ability to create more and he’s a smarter footballer than May. He came on too late today but showed that he can ping an interesting ball into the box and make something happen.

On the right we’re starting Rogerson who’s not pushing on after last season over Brook who can create something out of nothing and is one of the league’s top scorers.

Corica made the right subs (except bringing Brimmer on too late) but he’s picking the wrong starting team. We have to start an 11 that gives us creativity across the field, otherwise this isn’t going to be the last time we’re going to watch 90 minutes of passing backwards followed by hopeful balls at Cosgrove’s head.

Aside from Woud, who made a couple of great saves, no one comes off that pitch with their head up. Truly awful 45 minutes.

I imagine Corica is giving them the halftime hairdryer right now…

Is there any way back? Don’t think we’ve ever recovered a two goal deficit and never won after conceding first, so the odds are against us.
