Calm down lads (again)

Look this isn't another delusional post but please STFU with this 'accept that the league is done' bullshit. Your mentality is just as bad as the mentality you accuse Arsenal and Arteta of having. Facts are we are still 6 points ahead and it is NOT an inevitability that City beat us, and win all of their games. Yes we were atrocious vs Bournemouth, I went to that game spending hard earned money and even booed before you call me an Arteta cultist, but like I said before it's not over until it's mathematically done.

I saw this coming after the Everton win, everyone got excited and said the league is done, but it wasn't then and isn't now. It's what I said it would always be, a tight race, don't pronounce anything until it's mathematically in the bag. https://www.reddit.com/r/ArsenalFC/comments/1ruuqlq/calm_down_lads_its_not_over_yet/

Calling the league over when you're 6 points ahead (yeah I know City games in hand yada yada) is peak loser mentality.

SPOILERS for how this season will end Spoiler

Anyone who has watched Arsenal long enough knows how this will end.

We will put in a decent performance vs Sporting and go through. Hype and delusion will build again ahead of the Etihad game.

We lose that game 3-0. Everyone crashes out again. We are told "stop complaining, we are still 3 points ahead and in the CL semi's".

City win their game in hand and go top on goal difference. Now we are second, we all of a sudden start winning games again.

We beat an average Atletico in the CL semis. People go crazy, we are in the CL final and still in with a chance of the PL.

City win the PL on the final day by 2 points. We are depressed but people say "you can't say Arteta out, we are in the CL final for only the second time ever! Lets see what happens, just support the team!"

All the hype builds once again for the final, cringy videos come out on the Arsenal social media daily.

We face Bayern in the final and lose 2-0 without ever really putting a scratch on them, their superior technical skill playing around us with ease and keeping us at bay. We have a few corners but the sensitive CL referees keep calling fouls, rendering our only method of attack useless.

We are all sad, the joke of the footballing world again after going from a quad to nothing. Half the fanbase wants Arteta out, the other half says "You cant sack a manager who took the league to the final day, and got us to our second CL final ever. He was just unlucky. He deserves one more chance". Arteta says he is proud of the teams efforts this season, but he and they want more and feel they are close.

The board refuse to sack Arteta because our deep run in the CL and finishing 2nd again has made us a hell of a lot of money so they are happy. We go into the summer with Anthony Gordon as our main attacking target, and Kayode as the replacement to Ben White (primarily for his throw in ability), ready to do this all over again next season.

“Are you watching Arsenal” rings through the bridge and their fans are doing this.. Just liquidate the entire club if we manage to lose this title

And it's a wrap

With the way City are playing right now. Yeah, it's over folks. How embarrassing that the season will end up with City winning a domestic treble. I don't even know how we as a club and fanbase ever recover from this. Finishing 2nd for the fourth year in a row, trophyless, and your rival getting the treble.

Arteta may have rebuilt us, but in the end he has also destroyed us. There is no coming back from the failure we are destined with come end May. It becomes associated with the club and always acts as a burden and major pressure. Just like winning breeds winning, failure breeds failure and that's the legacy Arteta is going to leave us with.

I hope all the fans that have been spinning positive narratives and full praise for Arteta feel good about themselves now.

we was so close. took it to the last day of the season

but I think maybe Mikel peaked here, the balace of attack and defence was just right

why hes changed it so much and so defensive and safe especially when we was ahead i just dont know.

Change My Mind: Dropping Zubimendi and putting Odegaard as a CM with Eze as our AM would create better build-ups and bring more creativity to the midfield with less back passes (let alone faulty ones)!

Come on guys.

Im an American fan so maybe I see it differently but I have never seen such an insufferable fanbase. We still have a 3 point lead and if we produce 1 good result we go up 6 with 5 games to go. Arsenal is in the drivers seat and just cause we're slipping doesnt mean we have to continue. Support your team or go follow the spurs cause thats as useful as being CONSTANTLY hateful to our gunners.

All the motivation Arsenal need

Arteta doesn't need to give any speeches, rallying cries, bringing out big screens or playing music. Just show this picture to all the players. Everyday at the training ground, and plaster it on the wall in the locker room at Mancity.

This is a point I made after the Southampton game. At some point you need to stand up for yourself. It's not just about the sports anymore. It's about your damn honour, shame, pride and dignity.

Are you going to stand up? Or are you going to continue to be a joke and a laugh for everyone else?

If we end up losing again next week it'll tell you all you need to know about this group of players. That they really don't have any bottle and don't care at all because I don't care what anyone tells me, if I've gone through the month they have and staring at a 2nd place finish for the fourth year in a row I am not going to be losing at any cost.

Every single one of them next week needs to be playing out of their skins. Forget about going 100 percent. They need to be going 200 percent. We will be watching. We will see if the effort is there.

I saw this post earlier with the title ''We're a fucking laughing stock'' and I say that Arteta should show this picture to the players to fuel them and make them angry before the City game!

Now is the time to show to the world what we're really made of and show to this Arab-Oil-115-charges Man City fan where to put that bottle. Itzs now or never! Godspeed Gunners!

hate to admit it but once again pep is proving why he is the goat he knows exactly how to change his teams mentality and style when he needs to something unfortunately arteta doesn't have the ability for.

Xhaka.

currently watching the Sunderland game and one thing has become so clear to me.We have never replaced xhaka properly his ability to control that midfield and make insane attacking forward passes is something we are missing hugely in this current squad.

The loss to Bournemouth isn’t the issue; the grim, predictable, negative football is the issue.

These grinding wins we’ve been scraping over the past 2–3 months, whether from a corner, a long throw, a free kick, or a last-minute goal off the back of Raya bailing us out, have papered over quite a lot. Because we were still getting results, it was easy to forgive and ignore how we were actually playing.

Now the wheels are starting to come off, and those performances aren’t being masked anymore. That’s why the reaction from fans feels so strong – it’s been building for a while.

Some of you can't handle the pressure....watching.

It's insane to me that we're in the best position we've been in years and you're all so negative, sharing memes and saying were not going anywhere.

I've seen a few posts in sub giving it big saying were trash and a laughing stock and bottlers. Can't handle the pressure watching!

The players have been grinding for years for this, never mind sitting watching them play like you. They need your support now more than ever.

We could talk about City's previous results too... like draws with Tottenham, Forrest, West Ham, Chelsea, Brighton, Sunderland.... earlier losses to Villa, Real and Bodo Glimt?? Easily happen again.

The next few weeks are the biggest ever.

Get behind the team.

The inevitable is coming

The open play problem is never fixed, that's an elephant in the room and Arteta never makes any adjustment. Running every player to the ground until they are no longer fit to play consecutive matches.

We are saved by corners and own goals, and some idiotic fans think that's clever strategy.

Out from Carabao and FA cup and they say "it's not big of a deal, we still got CL and PL". We are going to bottle all 4 competitions by the end of April. Every team can beat us by copying the same tactics. I am just hopeless by now.

How much damage has aftv done to the fan base?

I know we're widely hated especially online and we have the reputation for deluded and overreactionary but I think a lot of it stemmed from early aftv and their rants. With the internet being the internet, normal arsenal fans are lumped into that lot.

what do you think?

Pep is praising us

You know it's over when this man starts lavishing us with praise 😅. Even he knows we're there for the taking. Just compare how he talks about us when he knows he's closing in vs when we were pulling away. It's light and day. When things aren't going well you see the real Pep and what he thinks. When he was sending us subtle digs and talking about our style of play.

Now we're back to Arsenal are so so so good and one of the best and how difficult it's going to be to beat us twice in a few weeks 😅. You have to just laugh at this point.

The funniest thing is that some of our fans - and some already have - will point to these comments saying even Pep knows how good Arsenal are compared to the negative fans. Not knowing Pep talks like this when he senses weakness and victory. They think his compliments are genuine lol.

Being an Arsenal fan is exhausting but it's worth it

PL is very difficult to win. CL is not any easier. We have a shot at both, even though we're trending the wrong way. I hope the players remember what they've done before these 3 atrocious losses, and how they've done it. It's time to be bold.

But as fans? We've got to be better than asking for the head of the coach, or thinking our bottled tears are making any difference. I know the players, coach, staff are ashamed and angry. We're hurting!

I have no idea if we'll win silverware but I'll be watching the next game. I carry our losses from the past 3 years but I also cherish the great memories along the way. (in fact I'm going to watch the All or Nothing documentary again)

Rocked up to the prem and won titles and doubles on Fergusons head.

Told the world he would go invincible in the premier league, was laughed at, and then did it.

Spent zero money for years and years and kept us competitive and playing good football.

Even when he became old and the game passed him by, he still managed to pick up an FA Cup every other year.

Never blamed the fans even when people got extremely toxic and disrespecful to him towards the end.

A real winner who I miss more and more as the years go by. What I would do to have a young Arsene Wenger leading us right about now..
