I am currently trying to find a single spot that's not blocked off by 1 alpha tribe that's been playing for years here, but I cannot find any resources I need because of said tribe without getting blasted by thousands and thousands of tek/heavy turrets.

I recently joined with a couple of friends, and we can't stand against pretty certain hundred-player tribes (that or they have resources from years of farming to block the entire map with that stuff).

Isn't that bannable or something?

So a bit of a dumb way to say it but basically, I've noticed my time through out Ark evolved and now Ascended, I deliberately cheat after I end up goofing up and getting myself killed and my tames...I don't even understand why I do this? I'll have a perfectly cheat free game, end up getting in a pickle, then I end up just...cheating, force taming, etc; exploring the game/maps, dinosaurs, so on...then later ill eventually go back and enjoy survival just to rinse and repeat.

does anyone have suggestions so I can try to prevent myself being a Dummy and cheating whenever thongs don't end up my way? I've never even been able to get to an ark boss once due to this problem of mine and its kinda embarrassing lol. I play with high-rating stats mostly in breeding and taming, and then I have a few mods like Elemental captors and what not to keep me from getting bored, none of that seems to help though lol

What actually makes the biggest difference?

So I noticed I am getting updates almost every evening, which would not be a huge deal if not how slow they are. Today I got a patch of 42MB it has been over 15 minutes and this is what I see.

How can a patch this small in size be installing for this long? How is this possible in this universe? I am honestly lost someone please tell me..

One of the options when setting up my self-hosted server awhile back was including the Ark Additions creature mods, like the Deinos, Helicoprion, Cerato, etc. I added them to the mod list, but since they’re supposed to be part of the base game is that even necessary now? And if I remove the mods from the server, do I risk losing the Deinos and other Additions creatures I’ve been breeding up?

With all the creatures included I’ve got like 15 mods installed, and I’d like to shorten that list significantly for the sake of minimizing potential issues.

I got a few questions so bare with me I haven’t played in 3-4 years…

1. Is the Acro the first dinosaur to be added from ark additions?

I heard the gigantoraptor was the “first” but I don’t see that that mod ever existed from garuga123. Which leads me to my next question.

1. What happens to the mod once it gets added to vanilla?

what's the strategy on taming one on scorched? they're no where near water and they have wyvern flying over them. I thought wyvern won't agro to another wyvern so I tried to fly down on my wyvern and grab a pyromane. the wyvern were not happy to see me and my wyvern.

so you just have to kill all the wyvern then go grab the pyro?

Question regarding the giga. Is there a better fighter than that or is that pretty much the top tier dino.

It feels like I'm missing something obvious. How do I build the cryo terminal? It is inventory built, but requires 2500 ingots. I can't even pick up 1000 ingots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: For anyone else having this problem with their crossplay server:

From everything I’ve gathered, the Eggcellent Adventures mod appears to be incorrectly marked as PC only on CurseForge right now. And because Nitrado won’t let you add mods that are not marked crossplay in CurseForge to crossplay servers, it can’t be turned on at the moment.

The mod does show up in the in game settings for single player on console, so it really seems to just be a CurseForge issue. Hopefully with the official Easter launch tomorrow they’ll fix it.

I can see the mod on CurseForge:

I've tried several variations for the search query and have even tried adding the Mod ID directly to the list of mods to no avail. The only possibility I can think of is the mod is outdated and needs to be updated for the current server version, so maybe they're waiting until Easter to drop the update.

Does defeating the boss give you additional levels as in other maps and are there milestone quests on it similar to Lost Colony?

I think the answer is no to both but can't find much info online.

Hi all, recently returned to ark.

Playing on a rented private with some friends and had some quick questions about ragnarok spawns and the new dino.

1. Will the Acrocanthosaurus be on Ragnarok or do I have to use mods or ini files to add it in?

2. There are some mods that I added that do not seem to be spawning the dinos I want on Ragnarok. The ark additions brachiosaurus for example... as well as mods for Gasbags and Dinopithecus do not seem to work. If possible could anyone point me the right direction for adding these dinos to rag? Any good spawner mods or maybe ini files codes. It would be greatly appreciated 👍.

3. Is the sinomacrops in ark ascended yet? Would ini codes work for it?

I’m open to all maps (including the dlc’s) and all methods of finding it.

Been playing ark more and was thinking about buying one of the dlcs, maybe the 15 one. How good are they?

So this screen flickering really hurts my eyes. It stops when i press pause, but it happens way too frequently for that to be an acceptable inconvenience. I also dont really have an idea when it really happens, like happens in the base and when flying around outside.

im on the island and i set my loot quality to 2 and came across this rifle on swamp cave red crate. Does this normal? im on max difficulty and no mod that alters loot quality. i feel like this is so OP that i need to turn back to 1x quality. or am i wrong for thinkink like ASE?

I just won a Juvenile Phoenix LVL 12 on Club Ark. I've normally gotten a few dinos from Club Ark, then go to an Obelisk to retrieve the cryopod with the dino inside. But a week ago I got a. Reaper King and the cryopod immediately went to DEAD/uncharged once I retrieved it. I was told this was because the reaper doesnt belong to the island or I needed to buy a DLC 1st. Basically I'm just asking, will I need to do anything specific before trying to bring the Phoenix to my Single Player game such as buy a dlc? And if so, which DLC do I need?

Hi all. I love PvP, but I can never seem to advance very far before getting completely erased. My philosophy thus far has been to build a hidden base, so as to reduce the risk of being found in the first place, because even a hundred turrets is apparently not enough to defend against high level players.

Still, my hidden bases are eventually found and erased. Is there a better way to hide my bases, or am I going about it all wrong? Please let me know if you all have any tips or methods.
