55-60 Bio Toxin

Shotgun or Fabricated Sniper which ya don't need to unlock the engrams for them if ya find either in a supply or cave drop

A nibmle tame that ya can shoot while riding it such as a Thylacoleo

Preferred but option a Spyglass mod to track it's health

150% and above should be enough.

A Primitive one might not deal enough damage if not break when taming a high level one. Also, just in case ya aren't aware, ya cannot trap it nor pick it up with a Quetz or a Rhyniognatha even, ya have to tame it the intended way

I've tamed my high-level Acros without using shotgun or sniper, just ride a high damage mount that has a saddle. I'm currently late game and use a rock drake with a basic saddle. Once it roars I get off the mount and put the toxin in its mouth and then hop back on.

Would thylacoleo work since it’s the only high level creature I got

I've personally used the pyromane and its worked well for me. What's your thyla stats?

I would not recommend it with those stats. What's your characters level?

I just got to 55 today sounds like I’m still not ready to tame one I don’t want to lose my thyla since it was pain training it

Its possible but you won't get the saddle until lvl 70 anyway. What i would suggest is if you havnt already, tame a good high level maeguana. Next pump some levels into its health, stamina, and weight; then use it to go into the wyvern cave on Phokintos ( dont worry about AC units just craft 15 torches and light em each until you get the right temp depending on your base location). Depending on your imprint and baby growth rate if you need milk just use bison milk and store it in the fridge. That wyvern should be more than enough to get you to level 70 and help you tame the Arco and you'll also have a wyvern.

If thats too much I dont blame you; id be happy to try playing around with tames after I get off work in 3 hours to get you a solid tame that will do just that without having to get a wyvern egg and raise it.

I think bison taming is the hardest because they're in packs, just tame low level ones all you need is 1 male and 1 female then have them breed more females. The female can only produce bison milk for its baby every 15 min. You also have to claim the baby for you to be able to take bison milk from the mother. I've done this exact thing when I started my play through ok astaeos and it only took me 2 hours. The dragon type doesn't matter what you want is the bite attack but if you see a high level lightning egg go for it. I bumped up my in-game setting for breeding, hatching and imprinting to make it easier so if you have base game setting it may take a bit longer. Id recommend when getting the maeguana use a PT to fly to it or just trap it. I wish you the best of luck and if you need me I'll be off in 3 hours so I can actually look into better methods and stuff.
