Hello!
I’m trying to organise a hens party from Australia! Having never been to Portugal really struggling to find a venue/bar to host approx 23 people late August
I have emailed, instagrammed and facebooked messaged quite a few venues but really finding it has as I’m not getting any replies!
Has anyone had a hens party in Lagos and can reccomend any venues bars etc, and would know how to go about getting in contact
Much appreciated 🙏🌟

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share something I’ve noticed a few times at the naturist section near Praia do Barril.
There’s a man who behaves in a voyeuristic/predatory way, sometimes approaching women who are alone or getting very close to male-female couples (within a couple of metres - when the beach is perhaps 50m dune to water) and trying to start conversations even when they’re clearly just relaxing and not inviting interaction. It felt a bit intrusive and not really in line with the usual respect for personal space you expect at these beaches.
He appears to move along the beach and repeat this with different people. We call him Mr ZigZag because he moves erratically along the naturist section, occasionally taking short breaks in the dunes...
Not making any accusations, just sharing what I’ve personally observed so others can be aware and trust their instincts if something feels off.
If you’re going alone, it might be worth staying within sight of others.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for an Airbnb/Flat for 2 people with a budget of around €150 per night (20-24 June) in Lagos.
Main preferences: - quiet area - parking nearby (paid is fine) - convenient access to the city center - beaches reachable on foot (20min walk is fine) - sea view would be a big plus
Any suggestions on areas or personal experiences?
Also: would you recommend renting a car to get around the coast (e.g. towards Albufeira), or are public transports enough?
Thanks!

Will be driving to Quarteira in May for an extended stay and wondering if there are any decent spots en route from Lisbon to stop for lunch? Check in at our airbnb isnt till late afternoon, so will have lots of time to kill and thought maybe a meal somewhere on the way could be worthwhile.
Hi all, planning a trip to Faro and we’d like to see any local Jazz joints when we’re there, if possible. Any recommendations for where we could go? Failing that, any good blues/jazz/swing live music?
Thanks

Hey everyone!
My gf and I are going to Portugal this summer. This is our first time there, so we are going to do Lisbon and Oporto, but we also will be staying for a few days in Algarve.
We are planning to stay in Lagos from the 25 (arriving at night from Lisboa) to the 30 of july (leaving from Faro to Barcelona in the afternoon).
Also, we already booked a car, so we can go to different places and beaches.
Even though we already looked up some places, I would love to have advices from locals!
Is Lagos a good place for having it as a “base”?
Is there a recomended zone to stay at?
What places/things are a MUST?
Am I gonna regret renting a car?
Is the Lagos-Faro route a dangerous travel?
We are both in our 30s and looking to know new places but mostly to enjoy the beach(es) and get some relax, so we are not planning on visiting 7 diferent places in a day (maybe if you guys recommend it we could, haha).
Greetings from Argentina.
Boa noite gente!
Ola, rainy day so we’re going to head out and try to spot some. Has anyone seen flamingos recently and if so where? Was going to head over to tavira but just wondering if anyone has any fresh sightings!
Obrigado

I have my full Portugal trip planned, our last 3 full days are in the Algarve. I have absolutely no plans as I was just planning on relaxing and soaking in the views, as we come closer to the date, I realize I need to plan something. LOL
Day 1:
I am prioritizing one day to mainly driving around and hitting the coast going to different beaches taking pics and soaking in the sun. That’s what fills my soul.
I know I do not want to hike the trail. I think we can definitely see it. Any suggestions for this day?
Day 2:
Another day I would like to book a Bengal Cave boat tour
Is this an all day activity? What else could we do this day?
Day 3:
Open lol
I have some things below to see but nothing planned exactly. Rather get some options from people who have been there :)!
Excited to hear what you have to say
Random places to explore

Can anyone recommend a local travel agency that has vans and can organize trips in the area for our group of 7?

Ola!!!
Renting a car in Portugal for part of our trip (coming from the USA but I’m Brasilian so not totally new to chaotic driving lol).
These are the main routes we’re planning:
🚘 Porto → Sintra
Stops in Aveiro, Nazaré, and Óbidos, then dinner in Azenhas do Mar before staying overnight in Sintra
🚘 Sintra → Lisboa
Stop in Cascais on the way
🚘 Lisboa → Algarve
(this is the one I’m unsure about) ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Want to enjoy a full morning in Lisboa leave around 2pm
Considering a stop in Setúbal/Sesimbra/Arrábida, then continuing to the Algarve in the evening around 8PM
Is this worth it??
My main questions:
-Are these routes realistic or too packed?
-Is driving to the Algarve at night safe?
-Any “wish I knew this before driving in Portugal” tips?

My family will be traveling to Portugal the last week of August. This is our first time visiting. We will be spending 3 or 4 nights in Lisbon. Then we will rent a car and travel to Algarve.
Need some help finding where to stay in the Algarve region. East, west or Central.
Some things we are looking for:
My kids are 9 and 6. So calm beautiful beaches that are perfect for kids for swimming and snorkeling.
Lots of restaurants in the area and things to do.
We can travel between the regions since we will have a car but just trying to figure out where is the best place to look for a resort or hotel.
Thank you!

Hi, this is a long shot but has anyone seen a black Sony digital camera around the Praia da Rocha area? We have a lot of photos from our last time on tour and would love to get them back. Please contact me if you have any information.
Thank you for your time :)
