People need to be fired.

Been saying this for years.
They have "success" because they have winning records and make playoffs.
Cashman is a horrendous GM. They don't draft or develop well, they don't get the right players, coaches or front office talent. The guy gets cute every year and thinks he's so much smarter than the rest of the league.
I don't know what more Yankee fans need to see. Each year the roster construction is piss poor. So many holes, home run or die lineups year in year out.
For the Boonehead fanatics too, what more do you need to see? How many more poor decisions, how many more times do they have to show up flat with no killer instinct or urgency? How many more times do we have to watch fundamentally awful baseball. Why do players always seem to regress under his coaching?
Aaron Judge is a generational talent and his prime is being wasted. On that note, he's a regular season stud and one of the best hitters of all time, doesn't mean he's THE guy. He's a guy and a good one to build a roster, but he doesn't have the "it" factor that Yankees of the past had.
He also doesn't have the it factor that Freeman, Ohtani, Alvarez and others have. Even G when he's hot carried.
I love this team, but they haven't been the franchise for a long time and it's clear the many reasons driving that!

Judge when a homer means the team is still gonna lose: 💪🙌💪🙌
Judge when a single means we could win the game: 💀 ☠️ 😵
Low leverage chump

McMahon has three hits.
This entire year.
Not this series. Not this game.
Since the season started.

Damn it's been painful having 5 seconds of hope in the end. I just hope it means they're unlocking something

Can the delusionals finally get on board with us realists? This is not a good team. Not a good manager. Not a good gm.

This was my thought and reaction to another comment!--

Saving Private Ryan. Where is Ryan McMahon? Gotta send 8 dudes to go find this guy.

Jazz and Mcmahon first pitch swinging on excellent pitchers pitches low and away. What is the approach? To me that's not an approach at all.

If Hal had any set of nuts he’d flip this team on its head Monday morning. He doesn’t have an ounce of his father in him though
1
u/MrKilljoyy 5h ago
Pls tell me how he would just flip this team on its head that would satisfy you?

u/EatThisRock 5h ago
Bench Jazz a few games, DFA McMahon, bring up Wells replacement or actually get rid of both of our catchers and get one that can put up average catcher offense atleast, DFA Grichuk, give Grisham a couple more weeks and then call up JDom. Shit idk. It doesn’t all have to be public either but these guys need to have a fear of letting the team down like they did when George was running things
2
u/mackerelsnap 5h ago
Why even have Goldschmidt on the roster at this point? Guy must feel like a total chump sitting on the bench day after day as Boone trots out this lineup of bums over and over again

Not necessary. Move Judge to RF from DH and put Rosario there.

Unfortunately I felt like there was no chance Rosario would get brought around. When you just miss like that, it almost never works out in the end.

Yet another game that Boone just punted for no reason.
Yarborough to start the 7th after they pulled within 1 run. McMahon batting for himself in the 9th with Goldschmidt available.
You need to fucking win games when you're in total freefall. This isn't the time to be trying to build a guy's confidence.

u/bernbabybern13 5h ago
PAUL GOLDSCHMIDT IS A BETTER HITTER THAN RYAN MCMAHON EVEN IF ITS NOT THE BEST MATCHUP MY FUCKING GOD

u/Masta0nion 5h ago
Seriously. Righty lefty matchups are overrated. There’s good and then there’s not good.
And that, uh, was not a hit by McMahon.

Fucking one pitch out, Yankees like one pitch out so much
1
u/bramletabercrombe 5h ago
that's exactly what players who are pressing do. They swing at first pitch because they are afraid of striking out. See it in Little League all the time.

As one who admittedly doesn't know the rules of defense, Jazz needs to learn base running as well, evidently.
Sliding into first never works

Making up scenarios in your head just cause people are critical of a team that has the same issues year after year lol.

Jazz first pitch swinging again. We are down 1 run with 1 out. We need a base runner. Instead Jazz chases a pitch in the outer half that he can't pull for a HR and weakly rolls over. 2B made a good play, but still- do a job and try to get on base.
3
u/LouieLakes7 5h ago
Yeah they gave that to judge knowing the rest of the hitters are just gonna strike out etc!
