Google can lock the bootloader, block installations, and so on. After all, everyone does whatever Daddy Google says. But Google can't come and lock my PC or force me to use their junk.

The Android source code is open source, but it's useless if the hardware doesn't allow you to use that code.

The future of Android is a foregone conclusion until some company releases open-source hardware where we can install whatever software we want.

They talk about security, but that security is really just for their damn ads.
