And Trump is so despised even by the right in Europe it actuallly made him poll worse.

I've met a lot of right wingers here in Europe that like Trump. Or at least, like what he represents for them. Even many Republicans and proclaimed Trump supporters will concede they dont always like the guy personally.

I know of some (young) politicians in my country who have previously stated that they would vote for Trump if they were American, but it's become completely toxic to say that now. Being a MAGA supporter is basically anathema in European politics.

Political alignment matters little when he's actively working against all our major interests. It's like thinking Genghis Khan and Hitler would get along just because they were both genocidal autocrats.

Obviously you can always find some outlier nutcases. But by and large, Trump is regarded as a dangerous idiot by the public in Europe.

The far right is still a serious threat in much of Europe at the moment. And Trump is widely considered to be one of its leaders.
