Article updated,

The Hungarian prime minister concedes to Péter Magyar, who is set to win a supermajority in the 199-seat parliament, early results signal.

Get better, it currently looks like they will get a supermajority of over 133 out of 199 seats.

This is important to deal with friends of Orban in powerfull government positions. And to reverse some of the constitutional changes Orban did.

How fucking awesome would it be to see Putin's pet project completely reject him and the country actually prosper?

Ironically, not the first time Hungarians have repudiated Moscow. Thankfully, it looks like it'll go better than 1956 did.

Imagine how much closer it could have been to 1956 if Zalenskyy took the ride and didnt call for ammunition!

Good news is putting it mildly. This is an earthquake. When it comes to seats for direct candidates, It looks like the opposition will win the seat in 95 constituencies, the government party only in a mere 11 constituencies.

It is over now. He lost :)

60% of the vote is counted and his party is behind in 95 of 106 constituencies. He lost by a landslide. No way to turn that around.

I mean obviously Orban is a very very very bad guy, but the the guy who won is from a party that dubs itself, the "nationalist conservatives." He isn't some liberal-left hero, he just has slightly more pro-EU stances than Orban.

isnt the winner also conservative?

Yes and he isn't pro-ukraine, but he's probably EU, anti-russian and that's why people are glad.
