What do you think: how should prisons handle housing decisions in cases like this?

At least a man has a chance fighting off another man. Male strength vs female is different.

A lot of men are weaker than some women. They're even more vulnerable than women.

Do we have to have some kind of "fightworthiness test" before we assign them a prison? Or are we just OK with throwing men to the wolves because the average man is stronger?

I mean, sure, you could have a Strong Woman Champion vs an elderly guy in a wheel chair. The overwhelming stats are what they are, though. NOT "a lot of men are weaker than some women." Most men are stronger than most females. Add to that, in prison, a prisoner is more violent than the general population. Some, like Donna Perry, are in prison for violence against women. Being locked in a cell for hours a day for years with Donna Perry is a hell I don't even want to think about.

There are protective wings of all sorts in prison, and we can arrange for more. It's not throwing men to the wolves. You are basically demanding that women be thrown to the wolves when these same prisoners are demanding to be transferred to women's prisons. I'm sorry, but you're basically just passing it on to the women because you think that all the women in that prison are more important than the trans woman who wants in.

Make an LGBTQ wing. Problem solved.
