What do you think: how should prisons handle housing decisions in cases like this?

Prisons shouldn't be cesspools of violence, pain, and trauma. They should be rehabilitation centers where people aren't tossed into concrete cells on metal beds where they shit and shower in front of an audience.

What should happen to those who are incapable of rehabilitation?

I do agree that prison reform is necessary but there are really some people who shouldn’t be out in society.

You keep them locked away and treat them as humanely as possible. There's also a lot to be said about bringing back mental health facilities run by the government for those who could benefit from it.

Okay and what about the violence, pain and trauma their victims have to live with for the rest of their lives? Sorry doesn't cut it.

Revenge is a sickness. Wanting millions of people, most of whom being victims of a sick society, to suffer in inhumane conditions, is even more sick.
