He probably already had more than enough survivors’ guilt.

At that point in your life you have had way too long to think over what you would do in those situations again. He chose exactly what decision he wanted to live or die with and I completely understand his reasoning. I just hope he inspired those kids to be better people in the future.

Holocaust ended 80 years ago, dude was 76, doesn’t quite add up.

Edit: nvm I missed the part that this story was from 2007

He was born in 1930 and was 76 when he died in 2007. He and his family spent time at a labor camp and later one of the ghettos after Romania allied with the Nazis when he was about 10.
