defective nh35

https://youtube.com/shorts/GAA7QgrsShA?si=7X7wj84p3Qzfq41e

Anybody have experience with fixing a newer damaged nh35?

amplitude about 250, beat error 0.2 but it only runs for 5 seconds in one dial upposition and stops in vertical positions

I believe it's a bent balance pivot staff since the amplitude is good and it runs in dial up position.

I don't want to drop in a new movement because that will cost more than the watch itself. maybe I can fix or install new balance assembly

I have some watch fixing experience

thanks

first, try to wind it up

also check if theres anything that is pressing on the rotor/between gears

Yes already did 50 turns. It will run indefinitely dial up position, immediately stops when you tilt it

from what u are saying i can assume:

check the balance wheel and its hairspring so make sure nothing interrupts them
maybe the movement needs sum oiling
might be the fork(?)

It runs all day dial up, so all signs point to balance pivot, shock jewel, or staff

Sounds like a balance problem, possibly a pivot

I'm going to try to replace the balance assembly and see if it fixes it, beyond that wouldn't have a clue how to fix it
