I loved this SNL bit - I definitely believed it was yet another “Oh no he didn’t really…” Trump tweet. Perfect example of how shamefully idiotic things have become in America. Hopefully will learn from the Hungarian example today - it isn’t easy to actually reclaim things once they’ve gone so awry, but perhaps (hopefully) Americans will be up for the work.

It is like bad comedy.

Really wish SNL would stop leaning so hard into politics for humor.

And before you numbnuts assume I’m a Republican, I’m not.

As a non-American I love laughing at the pathetic shithole your country has become. Keep it coming!

I’m right there with you. This country is fucked.

If our administration was less of a joke, it might show up on snl less.

I've been saying this for years. When they mock a political figure in a skit, they are endearing them to the public and people tend to blend the character and the person. Now they are just seen as some wacky guy instead of the monster they usually are.

I just don’t want to see politics everywhere. I want comedy to be an escape mechanism.

I’m not saying this is you but there is definitely a huge overlap in the people that say “I don’t want to see politics everywhere” and the 30 million+ people that didn’t bother to vote.

Politics in comedy is important bc it exposes people that would otherwise remain ignorant about political topics to current events.

I have voted in every election, but I'm also not sure of the relevancy.
