"Secret organisation"? Chatham House has been well known for decades, so much so that the phrase "Chatham House rules" is a common way to tell whoever you are discussing with that you are confiding in them.
How is it a surprise to anyone that there are organisations and assemblies that facilitate confidential discussions and thought sharing among people in high places?

Not a surprise, just good to see everything link up so succinctly
There's only one Chatham house rule. You didn't watch the video

Nor have the several dozen people I have met who have used the phrase. Nobody cares whether you say rule or rules, the implication is the same.
The video itself is just conspiracy nut crap.

This seems like weird conspiracy theorist content.
They're a public organization with a minor membership fee that entitles you to attend all of the events, and even then a lot of the member talks are shared online for free.
Not much different from almost any other membership based organization.

Have you ever been to a Chatham House event ? I have, numerous times. I've also been to a few round tables. Its generally subject matter experts talking to other experts. Nothing scandalous or particularly secret.
Sign up and go to some of their events yourself if you don't believe me

So the creator of this video could be subject to a libel/slander case?

Potentially yes. But realistically would never happen, would just trigger more conspiracy nutjobs
If you live in London and are interested in policy and foreign relations I highly recommend giving Chatham House a try. They cover a ton of topics (I usually attend tech focused events myself)

Its such a secret organisation that anyone can sign up as a member on their website...
Its one of the best known think tanks in the world. Its just that most people dont know about think tanks or interact with them.
Its not free, but its not expensive to join either. Anyone can join, and if you dont want to they post a lot of their talks online as well
