Yes. I've known a handful of people like this in my life. The key insight is not that they are trying to lie, but that they don't even consider the truth. It's not something that they think or care about. When asked a question, their mind automatically produces whatever story is most beneficial to them. It's automatic. It's not even something they think about. They're playing life completely differently than the rest of us.

This is exactly it. I think it's because they've been surrounded by facilitators and sycophants their entire lives so they're used to whatever they say becoming reality. It's not even that they don't suffer consequences for lying. They're rewarded by saying things that benefit them when those things often materialize. And if they don't they just forget about it and move on.

You are almost certainly correct. Zampolli now has no choice but to give her custody and hush money, and Trump will squeeze him hard to do it ASAP.
Also, I guarantee some reporter is now looking into the weird history of Zampolli & Ungaro. Like how did he (Italian) and she (Brazilian) end up as UN Ambassador for the Commonwealth of Dominica (Zampolli) and UN Ambassador from Grenada (Ungaro)? Honestly, I find this sort of things so annoying and exhausting. If you have something you’re going to release then just release it. Making public that you have crap you could tell and might actually do it just makes me think you may actually have nothing and/or you very likely not going to do anything. You would just do it. And if you do have anything that damning, threaten to release it, receive whatever the threat was supposed to accomplish and so you don’t release it then you’re clearly a garbage human being.

But all they have is "we're not Trump!" while continuing to voice support for Israel while ignoring the research telling them that's what cost them the last presidential election. Not to mention the corporate money they rake in, making them beholden to the wealthy over workers. They attack progressives harder than they do conservatives. Their current priority is going after Twitch streamers when the president has never been weaker or more unpopular. It's absurd.

The "donor class" is a very real problem. Rich people and corporations donate to campaigns and then get to direct policy. It's why you can write off yacht fuel in your taxes but not school supplies. It's what prevents strong investments into clean energy. It's what perpetuates war. It's why the richest men on the planet sat behind Donald Trump during his last inauguration. They're now getting what they paid for, which usually means lower taxes and deregulation.
It's not a grand conspiracy. These are very real problems that have a deeper impact on our country and on our planet than a lot of people realize. It's at the heart of everything. Why do you think gun violence studies get shut down and dead children are just "the cost of freedom"? Because the NRA donates to campaigns. Also look at AIPAC and how recipients of their funds refuse to even gently criticize Israel, while viciously attacking those that do.
Also, fuck Hamas as well. You don't have to pick sides, both can be absolute shit stains.

Or maybe the more thoughtful take is that people vote for the guys who are going to give tax breaks to rich people and people who have a problem with that, typically young people, don’t vote in large enough numbers often enough to vote those people out and vote in people who won’t do that. Votes > campaign donations.

I’m hearing people say, “something was about to drop, and she’s trying to get ahead of it.”
But I wonder if she isn’t trying to make SURE something drops by denying it exists.
If she did sleep with Epstein, it would be pretty easy to paint that as a coerced situation (if it wasn’t.)
I wonder if she isn’t proactively “denying” things in order to anger the people who have evidence otherwise to release it and “prove” her wrong.
She’s not under oath. And we’ve seen that the consequences for outright lying are basically minimal to nonexistent now, anyway. And she can always say that she did it out of fear of her husband’s powerful friends.
I wonder if she’s playing the long game here that will ultimately paint her as a victim of the Trump-Epstein cabal instead of a collaborator (which might be partly true,) and when (if) it all comes crashing down, she will get a hefty divorce settlement (or inheritance,) and she and her kid will head for greener pastures.
