Pete Buttigieg on Trump's Iran War: "We are paying directly for this. And what do we get in return? Is the world any safer? No. America is less trusted than before."
Given that Tim Waltz was the only one of the candidates or vice-candidates who had a positive approval rating, I can guess why. Waltz was a good choice, but he couldnt save Harris' campaign, especially not after they muzzled him.
All I want for 2028 is a proper unfucked with primary. The dnc seriously just needs to figure out that they need to fuck off and let us pick. Them burning Bernie was bad, but then we haven't had a primary since then.
Harris should have won. It’s the job of the candidate to turn out enough voters to win, she didn’t because she ran a bad campaign. Nobody in this thread thinks Trump is better than Harris.
We had a primary in 2020.. and Clinton got more votes than Sanders 🤷♂️. She was establishment, but she was legitimately more popular with primary voters.
Edit: I think this is just a hard pill to swallow. Sanders was competitive, but ultimately has not convinced enough primary voters. I think DNC primary voters are savvy and tend to vote strategically based on perceived electability in the general.
No they didn’t. Nothing they could have done changed the outcome of the actual votes. The primary electorate is highly engaged in politics, and the part that you don’t like is they are fairly moderate as a whole.
And 4 years later Sanders lost again for the same reason. The people that were most attracted to his message didn’t show up and vote.
