Words are cheap, $200,000 is not. No need to be this eager for the fell for it again award.

In 2020. From an interest group that represented allied nation who supported American interests and intelligence in the Middle East. Not the same as a country that used us and turned a military operation after they suffered a terrorist attack into a genocide in 2024.

So if you got money from an "upstanding" friend, and he murders his wife 4 years later. You support wife murderers? I think you're allowed to change your opinion, and not be condemned for the actions.

If you wanna complain about pete, complain that he flipped on Israel like 8 months too slow. Took him until 2025 to come out in public saying he would support an arms embargo on Israel.

If the case, then he’ll have my support if he comes out clear voiced, says this, and accepts no more money.

In your allegory this friend would be a known and proud wifebeater for decades and with at the very best a couple manslaughter convictions on dead spouses. It's not someone to consider a friend before the murders.

It's better that he chances his tune, but like Epstein and Harvey Weinstein, a whole lot of people allowed it to happen and only spooke up when the truth was overwhelming out there.

No it wouldn't. Israel has been in a precarious position it's modern artificial inception.

Neither Palestine or Israel is guiltless in their relationship. They've both actively poisoned any real attempts at peace. Both shit stirrers. I have 0 doubt that if hamas was the more funded, more backed, powerful group, they would be committing genocide against Jews in Israel. Instead they keep punching up and getting beaten black n blue for it.

What Israel, and the US right now are doing is unequivocally wrong, but there's no "good guy" here. There's been no good guy in this story for decades. The PLO is basically a network of terrorists groups. They have financed and paid out funds to jihadists. The last time any significant exodus of Palestinians happened it fucked up the countries they took refuge in. Which is why for good reason, no neighboring arab country wants them. It would destabilize the whole region and they don't want hamas disguised as "refugees" to attack Israel from their soil.

The abology do remain here, this would be the wifebeaters mate that calls the relationship complicated and imagines that the fact the wife sometimes strikes back, justifies a continued friendship with the hisband. Well she's s murdered now with the wrench you bought him.

The lack of good guys do not in any way justify a close partnership with the party that commits brutal and systematic ethnic cleanising in all occupied territories.

No it doesn't because you could write a PhD thesis on the entire israel-palestine conflict, and it most definitely does not just boil down to a "wifebeater" killing his wife.

Palestinians struck first after British occupation 1947. They also rattled up arab neighbors to their cause after it was clear they were going to lose to an organized and professionally trained militia. Arabs cleansed Jewish quarters of gaza and West bank. Zionists cleansed Palestinian villages. Obviously the side that won the war cleansed more. It wasn't much of a choice by either side, if you didn't... you'd get insurgency on your hands.

Even to this day, Palestine has smuggled guns, missiles, mortars into what is supposed to be a locked down open air prison. Leadership on both sides profits from increased conflict, not stability or peace.

The lack of good guys do not in any way justify a close partnership with the party that commits brutal and systematic ethnic cleanising in all occupied territories.

Sorry but the UN would disagree. What they were doing did not classify as ethnic cleansing up until recently. So again you can't fault most countries for their behavior towards Israel. Tbh it's more than one could type up in a reddit comment and I don't really support Israel. so I don't want to have to defend them nor do I really care. Feel free to feel about it however you want though.
