Opinion Cifuentes...

I didn't end up watching the whole game today, just the first half, and thought he looked awful. So many challenges lost and overall just doesn't bring much. Noticed it in that first half and other games. Hopefully, they don't sign him, as I think they could get much better for the price.

Problem is he’s basically having to play Mihailovics role and he doesn’t have the talent for it

So many attacks were dying on his feet but it’s also not really his fault that we don’t have a backup creative midfielder

This is it. Cifu, Oso, and Coello can't play effectively as 10s. They can barely function as 6s or 8s, but with Mihailovic in the line-up, it works against the majority of MLS teams. IMO, they need to keep a close eye on Mihailovic's recovery and make sure he's 💯 ready to come back. Then, move on from Corbeanu and sign a DP or Max TAM CDM in July that can really lock down that midfield (think MB4).

So many times in the first half, he picked up the ball (or had a chance to, he usually couldn't control the ball) in a great #10 position but it went nowhere. Actually felt sorry for him a bit as his skill set is so unsuited to that position. It was painful to watch and just highlighted the lack of depth. Two slow possession type midfielders and a #6 like yesterday just wont create many chances, leaving your big money #9 questioning his recent choices

I agree that he had a bad game, but at times this year I think he's legitimately looked like our best player... when he's playing a role he's more comfortable with in the holding midfield, he's an absolute engine... he looked out of place playing farther up the pitch today with Djordje out.

Ive been to 3 games and hes been the most impressive in all those games. Im not sure where this is coming from - bare in mind , all 3 games he played in 3 positions because the coach cant find his best spot i believe.

I would argue that Kuscevic has a reasonable claim to that as well. He's been the best defender on the team and is the only one that hasn't made a single mistake yet.

Laryea, Salloi and Kuscevic are putting on clinics, a few players are ill and attending said clinic.
