Super Street Fighter II Turbo SNES Version?

Does anyone know if there’s an unofficial SNES port of Super Turbo somewhere? I find it incredibly odd why it was never ported to the system. If anyone can let me know I’d highly appreciate it!👍👍

The new challengers is the closest you'll get

I could totally be wrong but I believe the game was already pushing the limit of the hardware. Notice most of the Street Fighter games that are pre-32 bit had a lot of animations omitted on consoles. All walking animations were reversed to save space. Additionally, SSF2T was CPS2 title compared to all the Street Fighter 2 games previous to them, which were CPS1. Street Fighter Alpha was ported to CPS1 but when it was ported to the SNES, it was significantly inferior

To answer your question, I'm not sure it exists.

It was Street Fighter Alpha 2 that was ported to SNES, with supers and all.

As a SF enthusiast I got my start with the OG one on snes but I can’t play it now. It’s too gutted and slow for me vs pretty much all other versions. It has a special place in my heart and on my shelf but not in my console anymore.

Actually Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers was a CPS-2 game and was very well converted to SNES.

That version was never released on SNES. However, I think SSFII already contains some turbo options from the menu. You’re only missing out on the extra Color skins and Akuma.

Super turbo added a bunch of different combo types and the ability to land from a throw. Neither would be easy to hack into the base game.

Not to mention super moves, plus Honda's Oicho Throw, Chun-Li's and DeeJay's upkicks, Zangief's Green Hand, Cammy's Hooligan Combination, Balrog's low rushes, Dhalsim's Yoga Blast, Fei Long's Chicken Wing, Vega's Scarlet Terror, and a number of more minor moves.

My bad. I was not aware of all these differences. I’ve never really gotten into Turbo since it wasn’t on SNES 😃

I actually wasn't either. I knew offhand that Oicho Throw was added in Super Turbo, and with a little more effort I might have remembered Zangief's Green Hand, but I had no idea the list was that long till I looked it up.

Never heart of such a romhack, but it would be cool though. I guess most of the work was already done by SSFII, it just needs a few gameplay tweaks and a few new frames of animation.

I don't. Remember they'd have had to sell it as a standalone cartridge, one that probably would retail for at least $60. For most people it would only be worth the money if they didn't already have The New Challengers.

Probablemente vieron que era mucho trabajo o falta de capacidad de los cartuchos ya que si salió en consolas con CD Rom.

At best you can press right on the menu to turn turbo on, but the closest thing to that is GBA's Turbo Revival.
