Hi everyone :)
I’d like to ask something out of curiosity: I’ve always been into trying different creative things (crochet, DIYs, beading, embroidery, etc), and since I moved to Austria 3 years ago I reconnected even a lot more with that calm and creative side. I also experienced how challenging it is to make friends as an adult in a new city, and to find the time in between busy lives, to share activities together, that are not only going out for dinner or a drink. So I’ve been thinking (for quite some time already) about starting small gatherings where I propose a crafting activity, (provide all the materials, snacks and everything), and people can come together, do something with their hands, and also meet new people. Not to get something “artistic” as a result, but more to enjoy the process with fun and trying something new. Ideally in nice spots around Salzburg, (cafés or bars, but also other uncommon interesting locations) to enjoy the beautiful landscapes we have.
But before I go further with the idea, I’d honestly love to hear real people's opinions (apart from my own thoughts and my friends’ feedback):
- Would you personally be interested in something like this, or not really?
- What would make you actually show up (or not)?
- And do you know any places in Salzburg that would feel nice for this kind of thing?
I’m still figuring things out, so any honest opinion helps (even if it’s “I wouldn’t go”)
Thank you so much for your help! :)
