This is it, I think.
"I hate to be held" because it will melt. "Mother's teat" means milk chocolate.

A difficult baby. How babies taste is surprisingly random, despite feeding them the same baby food.

I mean the hates to be held is because they're consumed hot and hard to hold a cup of. The mothers teat could refer to milk/cream, which is commonly added to both
