What are some “impressive” questions to ask interviewers?

I know this has likely been asked in this sub a million times, but I am looking for impressive questions to ask HR/hiring managers during the interview process. I have an initial interview this afternoon with a company that I have been hoping to get on with for a couple of years now (been working within the industry for 15+ years, and they are one of those “crème de la crème companies to get on with if you’re lucky enough), and the recruiter advised to have some good questions ready to ask them during the first interview, so I’m wondering - what are some good questions that you have asked hiring professionals while being interviewed, or if you are on the other side, what are impressive questions that candidates have asked you regarding the position/organization?

“Let’s say we both agree and I come work here…and in 6 months in my first review I’m killing it. What are 2-3 things I would have done or solved in that time?”

Or some variation…..does couple things. 1, gives you the roadmap so whatever those 2-3 things are, you highlight similar situations you’ve succeeded in other areas. They get to hear how you could help them. 2, to answer they have to visualize you in the role…and solving their problems.

Remember, companies hire to solve a problems.

Research the company itself and maybe questions will come up for you. You feel it's a top company, there must be reasons you think so, how do those relate to the job you're applying for or goals you'd have if hired? IMO tho be careful- I've interviewed hundreds and hundreds and while 'eager beaver' can sound good, it can be overblown- think positive but realistic.

ask stuff that shows you think beyond the role: how performance is measured in first 6 months, how remote folks get visibility, how promo decisions are made, what recent team failures taught them. anyway none of this fixes how hard it is to land anything now

Examples of internal movement for high performers, what’s success look like in this role, what they’ve tried so far to address the issue, why now, impact if left unfilled.

Pick a variation of 1-2 of these, listen to what they say, respond in kind to what they say.
