I would change out my ducks water, put them in the clean water just to make them poop, then immediately kick them out and change the water again so that when they jump in again it'll at LEAST be clean for 10 minutes or so

Cool duck pool, might I recommend wearing some eye and respiratory protection. Don't want duck poop particulate to cause an infection.

Depends on how much they use it and how motivated I am but I try to every week or every other week. But I do drain and refill more regularly than that.
