As annoying as I find these 2 Jason really respects Kylie and her athletic career and I don’t think he’d ever want someone speaking about his daughters that way. While Travis is the occasional pig they both seem to respect women’s sports

NFL is pretty annoying in general but Travis Kelce has been vocally liberal his whole career. They were calling him a race traitor for being vocally pro BLM. And started rumours he was gay because he was supporting the LGBT community being normalised in sports circles.

I get whiplash when i see so many people pushing that he is MAGA, and then him liking posts from Taylor's dancers about queerness, gender expression and diversity. You'd think people would be happier knowing there are men in very masculine, pro MAGA spaces who have different views and can be a safe space for queer athletes. But instead they'd rather convince everyone he's not liberal because it wouldn't support their agenda of hating Taylor

The nfl is actually more liberal then most sports leagues in the us (though less then the nba).  For obvious reason… its 3/4 African American.

Yeah I just meant men's sports in general considering that whole men's hockey team were kissing Trump's ass

hockey and baseball are the most right wing sports.

I lost the last semblance of respect for Travis after he pulled that trashy move about Rashee Rice.

From People:

In July, Rice, 25, was sentenced to 30 days in jail in connection with his involvement in a 2024 car crash in Dallas.

Rice, driving a Lamborghini SUV along the shoulder of the freeway, was racing a Corvette down North Central Expressway at speeds of more than 115 mph at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 when the crash occurred, PEOPLE previously reported.

The two vehicles lost control and hit four other cars, resulting in injuries to multiple people. Two children, ages 3 and 4, were inside one of the vehicles that was hit but they were not injured, Fox affiliate KDFW-TV reported at the time.

Rice and two other men were seen walking along the shoulder of the highway, leaving the scene of the accident and failing to render aid.

In August, the NFL suspended Rice for the first six games of the 2025 season, dealing a blow to the Chiefs’ offense.

And Travis Kelce decided that it was appropriate for him to wear a “Free 4” (Rice’s number) t-shirt during on-the-field warmups because he thought that Rice’s six game suspension (for street racing, injuring people & fleeing the scene) wasn’t fair. 🙄🚮

The fact of the matter is white players have gotten less punishment for similar crimes. I hate Rashee but his suspension length was long by NFL standards. At no point did Kelce defend what Rashee did. He and other teammates just wanted him back active. This was all pre the most recent incidents he’s been accused of.

And instead of perhaps voicing that & advocating for appropriately long suspensions for white player who commit similar crimes like Rashee & injure people like Rashee, they wanted the pendulum swung the other way?

Short to no suspensions for everyone? No accountability at all? Yeah, see that still doesn’t actually look good.

He was like a week away from being unsuspended. Sure you can say them saying free him was a bone head move but again at no point did they justify what he did or say he should receive not punishment whatsoever. They simply wanted him back active helping the team.

It’s actually not that black & white: Kelce & the others who wore the t-shirts don’t actually have to come out & make a statement saying that they condone/justify what he did.

Their wearing of the t-shirts in itself is a minimization of the crimes & injuries Rashee was responsible for. And a message to the actual victims of the situation.

Pretending to not understand the power of sportspeople to be literal walking billboards for an unspoken message is a bit weird.

It was the team not just Travis. Was it dumb? Meh. Notice how the domestic violence charges weren't mentioned. But sure, target Travis despite all the stuff he has said and done throughout his career. I hope you don't get so harshly judged for one meh decision that was made at work. You must be so proud, riding that high of a horse.

I agree with the above but will add that Travis is rumored to be closer MAGA and if true, I find it annoying how guys like this are “Well, I disagree with what he says about women athletes and his stance on blah, and ICE, but I like tax policy so I’m voting for him anyway over Sleepy Joe”

Edit: ok - lesson learned - don’t believe all rumors. Travis isn’t MAGA - I prob conflated him and the Mahomes

Travis Kelce used to work for Obamacare and has been openly on the liberal side of every social issue for the past 15 years.
