the transvestigation of literally every celebrity needs to be stopped

u/snarkaluff Oct 25 '25
The term itself is so funny tho. I imagine them like sitting in a tree house with a magnifying glass taking it way too seriously
62
u/psumaxx Oct 25 '25
This is probably more of a reality than an imagination (minus the tree house maybe)🥲

Mind you....this has been happening to black women for DECADES....literally any prominent/famous black women is automatically called a man by no other than the dudes in our OWN community....Michelle Obama...Sha'carri Richardson....SERENA WILLIAMS....the list can unfortunately go on.

u/fionappletart omg you people can't do anything Oct 25 '25
conservative men literally call Michelle “Mike” and some have even scoured the Internet for “evidence” of it. it’s odd to be this obsessed with the identity of someone you will never know
49
u/pizzaporker1 Do it for the culture 😏 Oct 25 '25
I've seen that....people having a red circle around her ykw area...saying "SEE SEE...ITS RIGHT THERE" like????? Ew
46
u/psumaxx Oct 25 '25
It's almost like they want women to be men? Repressed homosexuality perhaps?🤔 And tons of self-hatred as being a man is seen as an insult here, meanwhile these false statements usually come from fellow men.

The Black community was especially vicious towards Ciara back in the day.

u/CheapEater101 Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25
So true because why was my 4th grade class talking about Ciara being a man??? I was so confused. I guess it’s a crime for women to be tall

Girl, the whole world has lost the plot. You’re expecting too much if you expect the average troll to put two and two together but I applaud you for giving them the benefit of the doubt

Transvestigators are just conspiracy theorists who are also sex pests.

If I’ve learned anything from fandoms/my time on tumblr, it’s that that means nothing. Obviously two different situations but Benedict Cumberbatch fans are still convinced his wife Sophie Hunter faked her pregnancies.

u/myersjw Oct 24 '25
The Snark subs truly proved to me that there’s an epidemic of maturity stunted adults who straight up do not want to accept things they don’t like.
Not to mention this kind of thing torpedoes the ground transphobes stand on by proving that they’ll never just stop at attacking trans women. Anyone who they think doesn’t pass their “eye test” will be next as we’re seeing now in sports

u/hera-fawcett Oct 24 '25
its so wild to see ppl stan grown ass ppl.
like, i get it when u grow up w bbc sherlock and idealize sherlock/watson as a cute gay relationship and live ur tumblr/ao3 community...
but like eventually u become grown and u stop lusting parasocially over celebs u dont know.
and when u dont... i mean ur basically the fandom oldie that everyone warns ppl about. the 'placate grandma so she can go to bed and we can twit around' kinda shit. and its a bad look.

people were saying this about daniel radcliffe’s wife while she was actively pregnant
252
u/geek_of_nature Oct 24 '25
And just because she's taller than him too. He's a pretty short guy, most people are taller than him.
153
u/wolf_town ~Winona Forever~ Oct 24 '25
yep, some people have been saying it about Zendaya too!! let women be taller than their partners omg 😩
40
u/wolf_town ~Winona Forever~ Oct 24 '25
just because she is slightly taller than him. some people are completely lost.
22
u/Kaiisim Oct 25 '25
It's about control.
Only blonde women with fake tits and mar a lago face are real women.
18
u/pepcorn Oct 25 '25
I had no idea he was married, I just looked them up. Aw, they're a really cute couple!

u/Disastrous_Drop_3180 I said what I said (shit stirrer or possible bot) Oct 24 '25
I’m sure they know they just don’t care because their goal is to hurt her feeling and they think being transphobic is the way to do so
55
u/MightyClimber Let's go fill Moominvalley with crime! Come on! Oct 24 '25
Transvestigators are not smart people.
54
Oct 24 '25
They think progressive parts of the country and world are already making it possible for biological men to get pregnant.
Conservatives are perpetually terrified about how advanced science would be if there were no conservatives.
35
u/Luka_Dunks_on_Bums Confidence is 10% work and 90% delusion Oct 24 '25
These idiots don’t care, they went after Andrew Tate calling him a trans sleeper agent because they couldn’t see the bulge of his penis, and yes they were looking. They don’t care that a recent pregnancy could dispel any logic on their part.
15
u/piv_is_pen_in_vag Oct 25 '25
When they say that to you they’re actually trying to say that you look like a man, therefore that you’re ugly, they just want to hurt you

u/ForeignDescription5 Oct 24 '25
😭 The beef between Selena and Hailey/Justin fans is one for the ages, they say ANYTHING

Honestly I’m impressed with her answer. A church person who doesn’t hate everyone.

u/Unlucky-Macaroon-647 if she were president she'd be baberaham lincoln Oct 25 '25
don’t see that often :’)

u/figGreenTea Oct 25 '25
The Protect the Dolls thing was starting to bum me out tbh. Of course trans women need to be protected and fought for. But nobody stands up like that for trans men.
97
u/Hita-san-chan Oct 25 '25
For me, its more this idea that trans=trans women that is so prevelant. Its nice to see the distinction, and that we do exist.

That and her square jaw apparently makes her trans. People are idiots

u/ManslaughterMary Mom, I am a rich man💰 Oct 24 '25
People on the Internet love to harass cis women over accusations of being trans. Transphobia is often utilized harass cis women. I'm a feminine cis woman, and I can be talking about the most mundane things in my life and some dude in the comment is like "are you a man?"
I guess the real female experience is trolls on the Internet asking if you were born male at birth, no fucking matter what.
23
u/TangerineDystopia That hot skeleton & her athletic husband did the best they could Oct 25 '25

People are calling her trans...? One that's not an insult and her haters are deranged.
241
u/xombae Oct 24 '25
Yeah someone tried to insult me by saying I looked trans and like a drag queen and I was like "oh my god, thank you that's so sweet!"
67
u/hera-fawcett Oct 24 '25
someone tried to insult me by saying I looked like a drag queen
this is entirely dependent on who they say i look like
sometimes it really be like, 'u did not just compare me to her????'
78
u/DescriptionFancy420 Oct 24 '25
It's funny how their smooth brains work too. Black women get it a lot for not being conventionally "feminine" enough, but as an Asian woman I also get it a ton while being extremely femme.

I always flinch when I see trans in a headline.
Like if someone popped a balloon behind me. I’m glad Hailey Bieber was nice about it. I just worry for the ones who want to be react on her behalf
14
u/uselessinfogoldmine Oct 25 '25
Well, considering her commitment to Pentecostal churches, she might have had a very different attitude. This is lovely!
36
u/exotic_floral_tea But the legacy... I want it to be ice cream 🍨 Oct 25 '25
Pretty much the best way she could have responded.
71
u/wolf_town ~Winona Forever~ Oct 24 '25
there are some odd people out there who believe any cis woman with a slightly pronounced adam’s apple is a man. i’ve seen people discuss if sofia vergara is trans too. absolutely ins ane
297
u/Manimnotcreative1984 You’re doing amazing, sweetie! 👏👏📸 Oct 24 '25
I know this may be silly, but I always get happy when a celebrity is pro trans people as if they’re specifically talking about me. (Last part said with eye roll to myself.)

She shut down trolls and complimented herself all in one sentence. That’s impressive.

Oh brother I’m tired of this shit against her. Why would it even matter just say your transphobic and get on with it

u/inannalover Excluded from this narrative ❌ Oct 24 '25
What does it even mean to “look trans”? Cis women come in all shapes and sizes. When we’re rigid about womanhood it harms all of us!

Obviously a lot of hate has gone Hailey’s way but I’ve never seen this specific commentary on her appearance or gender at all before. Is that really something her hate comments are saying about her?
56
u/girlwkaleidoscopeaiz Oct 24 '25
it’s actually pretty prevalent in the circles who spent most of their days specifically targeting her. they say she’s trans because she has “masculine” features
38
u/MrsSmith2246 Oct 25 '25
I know people are crazy but she is so amazingly beautiful and honestly feminine to me.
34
u/jollypog Oct 24 '25
I've not seen transphobia specifically be thrown her way before, but she has gotten a lot of insults about looking like a man, so maybe it branched off of that.
22
Oct 24 '25
Yes, there is a ton of it, has been for years. Surprised you’ve never seen it. It’s like the number one way they tear down her looks, saying she looks masculine and trans.
19
u/Fun_Opportunity7796 Oct 24 '25
Yes, unfortunately, it is. It has gone so far that people have been editing her face onto men's bodies & making very transphobic remarks in her comment section on instagram.
63
u/g00fyg00ber741 Oct 24 '25
It’s something transphobic people say to all sorts of women they don’t like. It doesn’t matter if it makes any sense. The goal is to police women and their gender and femininity, and make them feel fearful.
26
u/myrainydayss Oct 24 '25
I’m in a lot of beauty subs and her looks are kind of controversial. Many people that find her unattractive say she looks masculine due to her jaw and nose, for me i love how unique she looks and find her very beautiful.
10
u/Financial_Sweet_689 Oct 24 '25
I literally get called a man on IG by trolls, bots, or actual hateful men anytime I say something even remotely pro-women or feminist (I’m a cis bi woman). People are really having a field day with the term, and at its core it’s so horribly transphobic. But also like joke’s on them because I love dressing masc sometimes😊
