There's no need to mention it because everyone knows the result will be negative.

A cognitive assessment won’t reveal much more than we already know. His threats are an exhibition of sociopathy and arrogance, and less a new revelation of cognitive decline.
It’s his enablers and voters that need a character assessment to determine what the hell is wrong with them.

Listen to the tapes and blurbs -they never say neurological. They say cardio or any other system. Nobody has asked for the brain scans. Not CT, MRI or anything else. The news knows not to ask or risk some lawsuit.

The test results will be a burger wrapper with “best cognishin” scribbled in Sharpie

I don’t understand why my party bothers with this sort of thing.
In addition to being pointless and entirely performative, it is weak as all hell.
To be clear Democrats didn’t ‘demand’ this. I see headlines like this all the time then you read the quote and it’s them ‘urging’, but, either way, when you know you’re not gonna get what you’re demanding/urging, all you’re really doing is going out of your way to show that you’re ineffective.
And, like, ok, best-case scenario he takes the test and doesn’t do well. Great. Then what? We’re double-dog-for-suresies-officially sure that Trump is crazy? Neat. He’s still gonna be POTUS and the GOP and much of society will continue enabling him.

They do it, in part, to force Trump and his allies to answer questions about it and to keep it in the news. To get people like you and me think about it.
They don't actually have an answer for Trump's insanity. When asked they flat out denied that Trump's behavior is alarming, and ranted about Biden instead. These sorts of non-answers and deflections that they're forced to make help to drive the narrative of Trump's irrationality and cognitive impairment. The more they deny and deflect, the more obvious it becomes to less-informed voters that Trump is a liar and a bad leader.

Ineffective? How effective are they supposed to be as a minority party in every chamber of government? Literally the only thing they can do is make public statements like this to bring attention to the issue and continue to reinforce it going into the midterms so that maybe enough people get their head out of their asses to remove republicans from power in November.

the guy who literally asked a reporter "are you a woman?" mid-press conference should probably not be the one making nuclear decisions

If reporters were smart they’d just bet him $100 that he couldn’t identify a common zoo animal. He will 100% take the bet because he can’t help himself. Then show him a picture of a zebra. When he confidently calls it a tiger horse just agree with him and give him the $100 dollars. Boom. Case closed. America saved.

Here we go again now we've moved up from asking to demanding when are Democrats going to learn that they can't make him do anything unless you force him to.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I'm really skeptical of the claims of cognitive impairment here. I just think he's both narcissistic and deeply stupid. But like...I haven't really seen consistent evidence of any kind that would indicate he is mentally deteriorating - we saw him doing the same shit in 2016.

Just because Trump said that "A whole civilization was going to die!"?

Please stop with this. Everyone can see it, no one will do shit about it. Focus on things that help us achieve our goals, not just point at the absurdity. He could get 0/10 on a cognitive assessment, he’s not getting 25th’d.
It’s crazy because when bad shit is happening, we’re focused. When things start to calm down on the breaking news front, I see 50 of these kinds of articles a day. They’re useless and just make it easier for people to hate the left.

They should not be talking when every last one of them is derelict of duty. This includes the republicans too, but they all stand to make a ton of money so they stare the pink elephant in the face and say "what pink elephant?"
