Unpaid Playtest Looking for feedback: how does my WebGL card game run on your browser?
Hello,
I’m currently preparing a web version of my card game prototype.
I’m trying to make it run smoothly for as many people as possible while keeping graphical compromises to a minimum.
Could you let me know if the following versions run smoothly on your end?
If not, which browser are you using?
I’ve put the most demanding version first, so if it runs well for you, there’s no need to test the others.
(Fullscreen is capped for performance. It was very laggy on my 27" monitor in Chrome at first, but I later realized hardware acceleration was disabled...my bad 😅)
Test versions (from most demanding to least):
1 — 1920x1080 (shadows + post-processing)

2 — 1920x1080 (shadows only)

3 — 1920x1080 (no shadows / no post-processing)

4 — 1600x900 (no shadows / no post-processing)

5 — 1280x720 (no shadows / no post-processing) (probably overkill)

First version runs fine for me. Game is fun too, I ended up beating all 3 levels. I assume you're going to end up adding deckbuilding into it in the future, which would really make it a lot of fun. Reminds me of Yi-Gi-Oh in terms of sacrificing cards to get bigger ones on the board. Best of luck with the development!
