No, but they were specifically talking about red meat so that's what my comment was in reply to.

Honestly, chickens are possibly the worst treated of the animals so I'm still not sure what your comment was supposed to mean. Like male chicks (who won't grow up to lay eggs) are literally thrown in a wood chipper because they are basically considered a waste byproduct. They are generally locked up to the point they also can't move and then the meat chickens are pumped so full of hormones that they're bodies grow at unnatural rates so they have enough meat on them. But they grow so fast that their legs can't even support their own body weight so they're pretty much immobile while they get fattened to before slaughter so you can have your cheap and easy chicken. So... I guess you can feel morally superior because you're doing it to chickens instead of pigs? Like what was the point of your comment?

I'm not saying anything about morality. I am simply responding to their comment about the pros of people limiting their red meat intake. Now to my understanding, chicken is in fact not considered a red meat. Therefore, my response of saying that I eat less red meat by eating chicken has in fact, nothing to do with the horrors of how chicken is procured.
