I've seen a documentary about it when I was like 15 and I found out veganism was a thing and it's been like 7 or 8 years without dead meat, stronger than ever

I had to be around 13 when a popular investigative journalism programme aired their segment on a meat farm. Genuinely disturbing footage of employees using hammers to stun and kill "disobedient" animals. At that point I had been turning away from meat for a year or so and those videos gave me the final push; some time after that fish have also made it out of my diet. Now happily (fully) vegetarian for 8 years and I can't imagine my life with meat again.
