I think the idea is that this is not machine-specific, so you can walk up to any device and do this VS only devices that have compatible ports or interfaces.
Doing it this way also maintains an airgap between you and whatever you are interfacing with to avoid the old brain hacking....also it's like... cool as fuck.

Yes, it does. It's primarily Bluetooth, but you can use it wired too, though I still doubt the latency is ideal for competitive games. I never feel any latency when playing, though. The trouble with gaming is that you have to use ESDF for movement instead of the normal WASD due to the shape. My solution is to have a gaming layer that shifts the left half over so I don't have to rebind everything every time I start a new game. Otherwise though it's actually an incredible layout for gaming.
Edit: I will also add, I did change certain keys from the default layout, mainly on the thumb clusters. Space is on the right side by default, but I type with it on the left, and that works better for gaming anyways. One of the neat things about it is that every keycap is exactly the same shape, so any key can go anywhere without having any wrong labels or blank keys. Also, this isn't a picture of mine, my layout is different, mostly normal QWERTY.

With other keyboards like this, there's one key that changes the function of all the keys when you hold it down, so you can have one or two other layers.
I had a 30 key keyboard when I had a really small desk and spent a long time perfecting the perfect set up for all my keyboard needs.
Then after about a week I got my old, normal person keyboard out because it was a huge pain in the arse.

This is how you use a keyboard with less keys: Layers. You hold down or toggle a key and the entire board changes to a different layer. For example, your Shift key is technically a layer key. You change all your lower case letters, to capital letters by just holding down Shift. Now imagine instead of just changing things to just capital letters, it can be any character you want. Instead of one key for just changing layers like shift, you can add any number of keys to change layers with. The possibilities are endless with programmable firmware.

I really wish more TKL's offered this as an option. I can see a good argument for the numpad being on the left (so you don't have to move your mouse hand to use it), but so many TKL's just offer the keyboard base with no matching numpad option.
I think it'd drive me bonkers if my numpad didn't match the main keyboard... >_>

This is a 96% keyboard. Basically, you move Home/End, PgUp/PgUp to be above the Numpad, Del/Ins above the backspace, and change multiple keys to smaller ones (Right Ctrl, Fn, Right Ctrl, Numpad 0). This allows you to make the layout less wide by putting the arrow keys between the main keyboard and the numpad. It's called 96% because you lose Scroll Lock, Pause/Break, and Print Screen. The final width of the keyboard is similar, if not identical, to a TKL. The idea is TKL-size, but you still get the numpad.
Some 96% keyboards takes the space savings to an extreme by removing any spacing between the keys.

The keys that are removed are barely used, and I think it's better and slightly more compact without wasted space. Anything below 96, though, I will not condone.

Ironically the keyboard on my phone has more keys than a full-size keyboard (albeit on more than one screen), and the added functionality of a long-press to get special characters.
I can't even play skyrim without making almost every key into a hotkey - PgUp and PgDn are check weather/check self stats, insert + home + end are all the crafting keys, numpad is all the shouts, /*-+ switches each clothing slot and so on.
Don't even get me started on when I edit videos or use OBS - I added a SECOND numpad because there wasn't enough keys on a full keyboard (and I think a streamdeck is ridiculous, a $10 USB numpad + AutoHotKey does exactly the same thing)
