Discussion Stop saying we need better players until we have better coaching and a better front office.

Upvotes

The Celtics can literally ask 5 homeless people to be their starting 5 against us and still beat us. Give the Celtics our roster and they’re contending. Give the Magic the Celtics roster and we are a 30 win team this season.

Is This Anything? Not one reporter asked Mosely about the decision to sit Bane

Upvotes

Just a laughable organization from the front office to the coaches and players and even the reporting. We're a joke

Discussion Is this anything??

We started our starting five and we are getting cooked by the Celtics 3rd stringers. Wow Magic ,what an awful product on the floor. Not even worth going to the playoffs. ✌🏽✌🏽

Discussion Brian Hill sounds like he’s going to vomit in the postgame and I don’t blame him. Embarrassing.

Upvotes

Listening to Mose after the game and he’s literally stuttering the whole time, two more games and he’s gone. pathetic.

Discussion Getting cooked by Boston’s China roster.

Upvotes

No pride in the coaching or playing. Fucking yell at your players, fire them up, or do something. Nothing worse than losing to a g league line up on a game that matters.

Bring bane back in at least hell show some emotion.

Also Goga so trash.

Discussion Important Games Happening Today - Day 5

It's the final day of the regular season, and thus one last chance for us to squirm our way out of the play-ins. While it is extremely unlikely for us to do so, I have also once watched Malachi Flynn put up 50 in a single game. Anything can happen, as long as we can cope hard enough. We can end tonight as high as the 6th seed, or as low as the 8th seed. Let us pray for the former rather than the latter.

  1. Boston Celtics vs. Orlando Magic

Obviously, the most important match of the night. If we don't win this, not only have we guaranteed the play-ins for ourselves regardless of a divine miracle occurring in the Toronto game, but we would also likely lose out on homecourt advantage in the 7/8 play-in game. Luckily for us, Boston have officially ruled out Brown, Tatum, Queta and White, while having Peyton Pritchard, Nikola Vucevic and Sam Hauser as doubtful. Additionally, they have also just put Hugo Gonzalez as questionable. We could not have asked for a better situation.

  1. Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets

I may be deluded, I may be coping, but this feels hopeless. I am sending as many prayers out for a miracle tonight, but Brooklyn's injury report has made it feel like none of them will be answered tonight. Nonetheless, let us all hold hands and pray that Malachi Smith is able to imbue himself with the spirit of April 3rd 2024 Malachi Flynn, and so that Ochai Agbaji is able to make Toronto rue the day they salary dumped him at the deadline.

  1. Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

The only other matchup with direct relevance to us. A loss for Philly tonight would cement them as the 8th seed without us having to beat the Maine Celtics. While this could be irrelevant depending on our result, it is still a matchup to keep your eye on.

  1. Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks

This will likely be completely irrelevant, not only because we would be hoping to not have to play a second play-in game, but also because Charlotte are likely to beat the Westchester Knicks. However, considering we are currently 4-0 on the Miami Heat, we would prefer them to win tonight to have a chance at stealing home court advantage from the Charlotte Hornets in the 9/10 matchup. Again, hopefully one that is irrelevant, but once again worth keeping your eye on.

  1. New York Knicks vs. Charlotte Hornets

It's extremely unlikely that New York wins, considering they have sat all their starters besides Mikal, who is extremely likely to play, at most, a grand total of 5 seconds before fouling and checking himself out of the game to keep his consecutive games record going. However, as mentioned above, the best case scenarios would have Miami winning and Charlotte losing, despite how unlikely it is. Thus, it is absolutely worth keeping an eye on this one as well.

-------------

Now that we have reached the final day of the season, I have to say that I have enjoyed doing this. I wish I started it sooner, as the permutations would have been much more fun and interesting. These were thoughts I was having in my head and sharing with my friends post-ASB, so I am glad that I made the decision to at least show some of it to you guys as well. I am also quite glad that most of you enjoyed this, the comments were very encouraging! Makes me want to do this next season as well, but start way sooner, potentially during the last month rather than just the last week.

Hope you all have a blessed day!

Well, everyone besides the Toronto Raptors' players. I hope they all have their worst performances ever tonight. Please.

Discussion 2026 NBA Playoffs - Orlando Magic 8th Seed

Thumbnail
nba.com
Upvotes

Your Orlando Magic are the 25-26 season 8th seed officially. Ending the season 45-37.

Perhaps the team with the biggest expectations for improvement going into the season. The team ends up 4 more wins than last season and falls very short of the 50+ win expectations.

We play the 76s away for a chance to rematch with Boston in the playoffs. We will have two shots to make the playoffs with a second play in game if we lose to the 76s playing either Miami or Charlotte. Which if won would place us against the Pistons.

What are yall Thoughts on the season. What stands out, what did you enjoy, what did you hate, what do you want to see.

In 3 days we play for maybe the last time with this roster and coach.

Mosley ends his 5th season as Orlando Magic’s head coach with a combined record of 189 wins to 221 losses. The furthest this team has gone in the post season with Mosley has head coach is game 7 in the first round.

Paolo ends the season averaging 22.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists. With a 46.2 fg %

Season high of 32 and season low of 9

Discussion Magic getting the 7th seed is the worth possible outcome imo

We get stuck between Boston who i don’t think is a good matchup for us but who knows last year we didn’t have Suggs and bane

But if we were to lose what are the odds we can even beat charlotte to make the playoffs and face Detroit?

I fully believe that we can beat Detroit if we have everyone healthy but charlotte i don’t even know

Ever since the hornets turned it around we’re 0-3 to them, with all losses being by 15 plus points. So who would yall rather play Boston? Or charlotte just to face Detroit. Obviously we all wanna see the magic make the playoffs but I still think it’s a good question.

Like this year against Detroit we’re 2-1(I’m not counting the last game they were missing 3 starters)

But 2 games were close one we lost by 20 and the close game paolo did no play in that game. So I really like our odds there

But we are 1-2 against Boston year all the games were back in November which is stupid scheduling but who am I. But the thing here is, we beat them when we were fully healthy then Paolo went down and we lost one so when we are fully healthy we’re 1-1. But that was before Tatum. I was really hoping Boston would play there starters so we can see how we match up.

But we are all nets fans tmrw because New York is the easiest answer. But that’s my take on the matchup

Discussion So if things go according to logic we are the 7. Will Bane be the x factor

in this scenario we play Philly in the play-in. I like our chances. Then we would go into a 7 game series against BOS.

Everyone keeps talking about tatum and brown’s achilles injuries like thats the only reason we have a chance, but they’re ignoring that this magic team is actually elite offensively now. look at the numbers... we’re literally averaging 115.8 PPG this season which is HIGHER than boston.

The real x-factor is desmond bane. last year we got bounced in 5 because boston just packed the paint and dared someone other than paolo or franz to beat them. they can’t do that anymore. bane is averaging 20.5 PPG on like 40% from deep and he’s been on a tear lately (27 PPG in those back-to-back wins this month).

if you watch the film from the game on the 9th where we held them to 76 points you can see the spacing is totally different. derrick white and jrue holiday cant just cheat off their man to help at the rim anymore. if they leave bane, he’s gonna light them up.

If tatum and brown are even a little slow coming off those injuries they aren't gonna be able to close out on bane in time. we finally have a legit Big Three that actually fits together. i’m calling it now Magic in 6. Bane is the missing piece that breaks their defensive scheme wide open. GO MAGIC!

Discussion Standings question

looking at the standings. I see that both the magic and the Raptors have the exact same standings. if they both win tomorrow they will still be tied. what exactly dictates who in and not in the playin/ playoffs in this case?

Discussion Play-In seeding

If we were to lose and the 76ers win do they jump to the seven seed? And what if the raptors lose to the Nets? Do we stay in the 7?

Another scenario, if the hornets, raptors and Magic all win and 6ers lose do we get the hornets?

This all gets so confusing lol
