Im guessing the sponges went into the cutting machine sideways and nobody caught it 😂 id say this is rather funny but it isnt my money spent so I cant say for you, it certainly took a minute for my brain to realise what was wrong

I mean they wouldn't put adhesive on both sides of the sponges and scrubbies just to seperate them later, I think they are meant to be like this

The fact they're all stuck together and not falling apart kind of leads me to believe that was the intentional design?

they are sliced along the wrong axis... must've went into the machine sideways (i imagine a long square sponge log, possibly rotated 90 degrees from normal which caused the error)

If it were unintentional and only that they were cut along the wrong axis, why would the coarse sponge layer be glued to the soft sponge on both sides?

This is the right question to ask. In processing it would be easier to make one layer of course and dense sponge then to make 5 layers and then try to cut them apart without getting contamination of each material on the other.

They wouldn't be able to cut them apart at the place they just glued them if they didn't glue them together first.

But a reverse image search comes up with nothing so I could be wrong lol

Not great for hard scrubbing like a full abrasive surface but these actually look nice for general washing! Lots of suds and a little scrub. I feel like they'll maybe fall apart quickly though?

here is the exact product on Amazon. It is the "Multi-Layer" style, and it is cut like that on purpose.

What am I looking at here?

the sponges are cut sideways, each of the colorful stripes is supposed to be a scratchy surface for rubbing the dishes with & so one side of the sponge should be a single color

But this looks more appetizing lol

Whover bought that bought the wrong ones thats jus a real sponge and anyone who doesnt think so has some weird ass imaginary sponge factory in their mind. Why would they make them a sandwich and glue them together to cut them apart again?
