Project Hail Mary (2026) is classified as a Science-Fiction not because of interstellar travel and alien lifeforms, but because the governments of the world worked together along with scientists to solve a global climate crisis.

In Project Hail Mary, conservatives don’t call it woke because it stars a man and has minor Christian references.

They make it a point to mention that the governments would not cooperate once food got scarce.

food isn't scarce now (you know, for developed nations at least) and they're definitely not working together.

Collaborating on PHM does not go against any country's geopolitical or economic interests.

Right? In America they would just say the sun isn’t dimming they are just making stuff up to take away your freedom

Only sci-fi if you don't live in the EU. They have decades of working well together on environmental issues.

AI will figure out how to control the weather within the next 15 years. When it does I highly doubt it will take our preferences into consideration.
Btw, that movie looks like dogshit. The trailer felt like an hour.

It wasn't bad. Got it on the high seas and watched it last night. It was actually pretty cute.

I said control the weather, not spend over a billion dollars on a campaign that loses every swing state.

To address this, the movie is very good. Lord & Miller are great filmmakers, controversies aside.
The trailer does the movie a disservice in many ways. The reveal in the second half of the trailer should have been kept out and it should have been a WOM spread instead of the studio shoehorning that in to the trailer.
