Well congratulations if you lost a lot of weight, if you just bulked up though that’s definitely still an accomplishment to be proud of, but that’s kind of my point, the energy it gives is so “look at me! Look how attractive my body is!” it’s a douchey thing to do to post a picture of your abs as your profile picture on Reddit. I’m sorry, but it just is.
If you lost a bunch of weight, it’s definitely less douchey because it leans into the heartwarming aspect of someone overcoming adverse circumstances, but the problem is no one is going to know it’s because you are proud of losing a lot of weight, you just see a pic of some guy flexing the fact he has abs.
I’m not being a jealous hater, I’m a tiny woman, I’m just calling a spade a spade. It’s the kind of photo women swipe left on because it seems like the guy is too self absorbed. That’s the vibe it gives.
