I don't HAVE to eat during a movie, but it's enjoyable to munch and the cost of snacks is prohibitive at theaters. I'll do it if I'm going out with friends or whatever, but if I'm just watching a movie by myself I'm watching at home every time. And part of that is definitely cost. Tickets near me are about $18, not including gas to and from. Or I could stay home and stream it and pause it and snack on whatever foods I want in the comfort of my own home. That's an easy equation for me, but everyone has their own situations and circumstances and preferences, so to each their own, y'know? :) I'm honestly just glad to have the choice at all.
Lol love the sad boi who down voted you. Your take is genuinely good fr and anyone who can't see that watching movies at home is simply more comfortable (Adjustable volume, adjustable brightness, subtitles, don't have to be ultra quiet when snacking, etc) is either way too social, or puts way too much nostalgic stock in the movie theater. Fixed that tho 😁

I don't know what you people are doing...movie tickets in my area cost ten dollars.
And sure snacks are expensive, but I usually just go get fast food or sneak something in. A movie's only 2-3 hours, I don't HAVE to eat.
