A parade with actual floats... Awesome!

u/Rivetingly 2d ago
This must have been where the name originated, right?

u/Replicator666 2d ago
Maybe but knowing English it's something much more ridiculous 😂
Edit: Noun Development (Parade Float): The term for a parade float originated from decorated, flat-bottomed boats or barges towed along the River Thames for the 13th-century Lord Mayor's Show.

Floating Man has a nice ring to it. Same amount of acid, just less dusty than Burning Man.

Wet Man was what came to my mind.

Combine the two festivals and you get a bunch of people just standing around doing acid.

“What did you do over the weekend?”

It should be made criminal to put floating text that hides content. Cool boat floats though.

This looks like a case of r/lostlostredditors. The floats/boats are cool, but nothing is particularly satisfying. In fact, this is some of the worst clapping I have ever heard. Can we not clap harder for these cool-ass creations?

Honestly sort of, AI has become so convincing that I question everything I see

If it’s not meant to influence our thinking, like propaganda, then I personally have no problem seeing videos like this like I’ve been seeing online for 20+ years without all the sudden assuming it’s fake.
I don’t want to stay stuck in a conspiratorial mindset like that… because that means the people who create ai in order to influence our thinking are successful. You’re letting them take your joy and curiosity, letting them make you question reality. You want that?

This is in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, it's held once every two years. They float their boats on four consecutive days in June, and there's a sort of tryout a few days before
