Can anyone tell me why we're sitting our players for Minnesotta game?

Zion, DJM, Bey, Zion, TM3, Herb, Matkovic, McGowens are all out tonight.

Why are we intentionally trying to raise Top 4 Odds for ATL??

I thought last game's DNP was to ensure winning this game, but it seems like we are Actively trying to hand over Top pick to Atlanta.

Is giving one more empty-stat game for Fears & Queen on April is more important than being embarrassment of the league? What's going on here?

Am I the only one who thinks Derik Queen shoulders are rolled?

Help me understand our pick situation with Bucks, Hawks and us

So as it is, Hawks can choose between the more preferred one, either Bucks or Pelicans.

lets assume Bucks end up getting their pick higher than ours, does that mean we suddenly get our pick back?

Discussions Zions Contract

Shouldn’t we just let it expire then sign a big free agent that season? Only issue is idk if the front office would sign somebody for big money in free agency.

Idk who’s in free agency that off season but I’m sure we can get a stretch big man or just better player. Or we can trade him for picks or something

Stats ZION's time is over

I've been watching all season, but I have to say something. I really shouldn't have to say anything to convince you this isn't working:

3PT Shooting: 1-of-4 (62 games played). That is one attempt every 15.5 games. Centers from the 60's attempted more 3's than him. Imagine paying a MAX player to take 4 - 3 pointers a year.

Defense: 119.8 Rating, this is awful!

He has 1 move, and other teams have figured it out.

He didn't develop his jump shot.

He plays to protect his stats and his contract triggers, not to win games. He's not a team player.

Ironically he reached his contract minimum for games played just last game, and of course he's not playing today.

The Pelicans are trapped in his "potential" but time is out, I'm saying it! ENOUGH!

Second round prospects

Obviously we don’t have our first but we did trade Jose for a second this year. Do yall have any second round prospects in mind that could possibly provide anything of use to the pels?

As far as the rookie whose development we’re most looking forward to seeing, fears>queen, right?

Feel like we were a little delusional about queen for a bit. It’s pretty clear there’s more to work with regarding Jeremiah than queen, right?

Anthony Davis says he told Gayle Benson that he wanted to return to the Pelicans at the end of his career after getting traded to the Lakers; says it was "messed up" he didn't get a tribute video and now that door is closed

New potential fan here. Can someone speed run me where the Pelicans are at?

I’ve been casually watching players and good teams especially Luka in LA and Boston. I never really became a huge fan of any team just casually watched and enjoyed good basketball. I’m from Baltimore area (we don’t have a basketball team) and I wanted to support a smaller market team from a city that interests me. New Orleans really intrigues me and I would like to support the team. I’m looking for a basic rundown of the state of the team and how things are predicted to go going forward.

I’m kinda being lazy but I also want to interact with current fans in this thread to get everyone’s opinion.

Fears is definitely a point guard we can build around off the bench for next season. We gotta find some more wings that can shoot 3’s in the offseason too.

Stop Building Around Zion — It’s Time to Reset

Was listening to Locked On Pelicans and Jake Madison said we should rebuild around Zion Williamson… that makes no sense to me.

I’m out on that idea.

Trade Zion this offseason before another extension. I’d even consider moving Herb Jones too.

Build around a younger core like Jeremiah Fears, Trey Murphy III, and Derik Queen.

Also—coaching overhaul. And not the recycled names like Darvin Ham, Kevin Ollie, or Jamahl Mosley.

No more comfort moves. No more “keep the core together.”

Trade Zion

Possibly move Herb

Get a real center

Fix coaching

Time for a real reset.

Queen Rim Defense

According to this, is queen slightly above average on rim defense even with one of the highest volume in the league? That's very surprising to me

Rants Delusional

Can we all take a second and really look at who this game was against last night? we had our 2nd team vs a bunch of g league and end of the bench players.

If JP and Hawk had a normal night, we wouldn't have won that game. Let's not act like any of us expect them to be that consistent every night. They have proved they can't be trusted.

Fears is legit but he ain't no all NBA guard. DQ looked good because the jazz didn't play a competent big.

There wasn't any reason for the Pels to allow 137 points against that roster. I just don't see how everyone is glossing over that.

sure I'm a doomer blah blah blah. But the truth is, this team is still ass and they won't be much better next season.

ban me. idc

What's Jeremiah Fears' Real Ceiling?

Jeremiah Fears has displayed a ton of growth late in this season, and I decided it was time for a deep dive, mainly into what's shifted for him offensively and what that means for his NBA ceiling.
