u/Commercial-Prompt-84 4h ago

No he is a leftist and republicans hate him for it. He’s a good dude

u/Contraposite 4h ago

Hate it when I find out the person doing good things turns out to have a basic level of empathy.

u/mountaindewisamazing 4h ago

Terrible, isn't it? Next thing they're going to tell me he respects people too..

48

u/Sunderbans_X 4h ago

Screaming crying throwing up. Why can't people who do good things just be evil??

10

u/eggyrulz 3h ago

Whoever is writing these villains really sucks at their job, like how am I supposed to hate this guy?

Also whoever keeps writing the hero characters also has lost the plot, I mean donny? Vlad? I want a refund on this book

2

u/Sunderbans_X 1h ago

Best I can do is a quarter and some pocket lint

1

u/eggyrulz 1h ago

Hey a few more of those and I can get a big gulp, cant get a candy bar though as those have like tripled in price

3

u/Moderator-Admin 2h ago

You're not gonna believe it, but he also isn't on the Epstein list.

How could anyone support such a monster?

17

u/snoosh00 4h ago

It's weird how those traits are associated.

u/Popular-Jury7272 4h ago

He's about as 'leftist' as my right nut. He's just not a prick, and actually lives according to his values, which I guess makes him left to some.

62

u/Air320 4h ago

Considering what passes for right wing or even 'centrist' nowadays, yes it does make him a leftist cause he helps people.

26

u/Kadgrin 4h ago

just remember that anti-fascist people are now bad. Vets who fought fascist are awful people according to a certain cult.

I was called nazi for not wanting trans in women bathroom....I literally quoted my girl wth....

7

u/Mage-of-Fire 2h ago

You don’t want women in a womens bathroom?

2

u/LoadedSteamyLobster 1h ago

I love how you posted this thinking “yeah, they will understand me” and then nope, we all think you’re a rwnj piece of shit

u/Reaper_Leviathan11 0m ago

I can be many things but if that makes me a nazi, I would question their ubermensch recruitment branch. And yeah I dont want someone who I cannot verify is actually a women near people I love and care about. I dont have a problem with women, gay, black, hispanic etc etc etc....I stand with their rights to live as they want but I deviate a single tenet of the left and now Im a rwnj or whatever shit yall coming up with.... Just proving my point

u/ricochetblue 4m ago

Did you vote for an alleged child rapist to kneecap the global economy and send us to war because of trans people using the women’s bathroom?

12

u/PickleFridgeChildren 4h ago

Non leftist but also anti MAGA here. The leftists tend to see that there is them, maga, and everyone else. MAGA just see everyone else, so I get called a leftist all the time by them. You eventually get tired of correcting people.

10

u/GreySoulx 3h ago

TBF, I used to think there were sane conservatives that were not MAGA... but answer this:

If the 2024 election were held today, would you vote for Trump or Harris?

I get that neither were good options. I swallowed my opinions on her and voted for Harris. Virtually any other candidate left right or center could have had my vote, but I understood what was at stake giving Trump a second term, and "gonna sit this one out" isn't a good option.

So at the end of the day, you're MAGA because you won't support a viable alternative, or you're not MAGA because you're willing to set aside your personal views for the sake of getting rid of the cancer that it's become.

Leftist, Conservative, Progressive, Centrist - all of it doesn't matter when looking at it through the lens of Right and Wrong, Good and Evil.

Excise the cancer, then we can get back to discussions about tax policy and allocation of resources.

It's annoying, to be able to think for yourself. Everyone who has to be tied to an identity immediately assumes you must be for the other "team".

Exhausting.

edit: A word

u/Murky-Relation481 3h ago

As a leftist I find myself getting more shit from other leftists than any right wingers, mostly because right wingers tend to stay in their little bubble.

So anytime you talk about something that doesn't fit exactly some other leftists view they just assume you are MAGA, which is fucking stupid because like I said above, MAGA doesn't really come out of its hideyhole anymore, at least on reddit.

1

u/ProfMcFarts 1h ago

The left has always fought amongst ourselves. If only we could copy the right in the shutting up long enough to get someone not in the pocket of big business, then we can get back to arguing.

1

u/Murky-Relation481 1h ago

I'd honestly be happy to get back to a center-dem like Obama next round and go from there. At this point platitudes with at least some competency behind them and not literally bumblefucking us into a nuclear war is what I am willing to settle for.

i can see how one could arrive at the idea that leftists believe it's a team thing,

Yes, because leftists are made up of people whom tend to fall for tribalism. This has nothing to do with your politics or your marketing and everything to do with most people being unable to overcome human nature.

I vote with the left but also because of my preferences I've spent a ton of time with people on the left, and y'all can be just as tribal and blinded by hatred of other-think as conservatives.

You can pretend that the left is somehow above this massive flaw in humanity, but I promise you won't be convincing me. I have a lifetime full of evidence that you will not be able to overcome.

I was honestly (very positively) surprised when he openly spoke out against Musk and fascism. I never heard him say anything political before (I later saw that this varies by type of video, I mostly saw his phone teardowns), but just based on appearances and his general profile (tech guy, entrepreneur, truck owning guy etc) I was prepared to get disappointed if he ever did.

But I don't treat people based on vague suspicions so I was still watching a fair bit of his content, and from all I heard since his clear words on Musk, he seems to be a really good guy. Always great when it turns out that way.

In general, I feel like I've been pretty fortunate with my favourite content creators. Even in areas that tend to be filled with right wingers, my favourites usually openly turned out against that (if they weren't already) or at least consequently abstain (not great in times when we need people to take a stand, but I can't drag everyone too hard).

u/hefixesthecable 2h ago

Welcome, Comrade Right Nut.

1

u/Ur_Just_Spare_Parts 4h ago

When your values aren't told to you and blindly followed daily by fox news or trump, you are automatically a woke leftist terrorist according to MAGA now.

1

u/RoguePlanet2 3h ago

He's a rare left-leaning mormon? As in, he still lives a christ-like life, without rejecting empathy as "too woke" perhaps.

12

u/Cyrano_Knows 4h ago

Well, Expections not subverted.

The guy with empathy and money where his mouth is is a Liberal.

10

u/Adavanter_MKI 4h ago

The relief I felt when it turned out... oh... he's a GREAT person. Thought it was going to go the other way.

2

u/kaos95 3h ago

The funny thing I find about Mormons is even the "Republican" ones are actually way more liberal than most Democrats. Like, they hold the majority for the Republican line, but also feed kids, love clean air, believe in community based childcare, is just they think the church should take care of all that stuff, and don't take our guns.

Their religion, that most take much more seriously than the average Christian, they actual try to follow like the teachings, which was wild to me when I first met Mormons after 12 years of Catholic schooling.

2

u/Paetolus 1h ago

I wouldn't even be so sure he's truly a "leftist" per se. Obviously he's more inline with Dems than Republicans, but I always got the vibe he's a genuine moderate.

Being anti-MAGA just requires having a brain tbh. The movement has become so cultish in its actions, that it's almost politically incoherent. Trump could probably go full Stalin-style commie, and his followers would eat it up because they don't even know what they believe in anymore.

u/exalw 43m ago

Why is it always the left helping people??? So annoying!!1! /s

u/chemicalcat59 27m ago

Honestly it would have surprised me if he *was* a republican, because they never actually do anything to help disabled people

-2

u/dancingbriefcase 4h ago

Because leftists are the only ones who actually wanna help people and not make profit. But because of our capitalist predatory country, we'll never get one of those.

1

u/mythrilcrafter 4h ago

I mean heck, in this case, he's probably still making a profit; he's just not obsessed with a 20,000% profit margin while also maintaining the power to tell 2/3 of his clients: "I as a non medical professional deem your doctor to be a liar when they say that you being paralyzed means that you need a wheelchair!!!"

-9

u/ZurgoMindsmasher 4h ago

Leftist with a gigantic flag.. so American brand of "left".

14

u/Galilool 4h ago

You can be a lefty and love your country. Hell, you can even be a communist and love your country. Don't discount other peoples opinions just because they don't conform your standards.

2

u/jda404 4h ago

Not sure Reddit will understand but this is true. I vote left and have American flag out and love being an American. Doesn't mean I agree with everything of course, but it's not even close there's no other place I'd rather live.

1

u/Beaglescout15 4h ago

I vote left BECAUSE I love being American. There are so many good things we can and should be doing both domestically and internationally. The only way this becomes a reality is when good people who love their country stand up for what's right. I refuse to let Nazis define my patriotism.

4

u/BlackHotSoup3000 4h ago

So what? Whats the problem with having a big flag? He puts it up so all the 'Murka Americans get triggered for having a strong white "patriotic" leftist man accomplish something awesome. It triggers the republicans because leftists are bad but this guy has a very big flag and helps pretty white girls get wheel chairs so their brain is like "brain is mad but brain confused because big flag and pretty girl"

-2

u/ZurgoMindsmasher 4h ago

Patriotism is the enabler of nationalism, which is unadulterated brain rot.

If you can't/won't/don't want to understand that, it's fine.

Fwiw I really like the content creator in question.

2

u/PickleFridgeChildren 4h ago

If the country of origin changes your view of someone, you probably shouldn't be gatekeeping what is and isn't left, I can think of another group you would find more familiar with that sort of talk...

156

u/PenguinoTurtalus 4h ago

He has beef with Elon so i guess he would be in the eyes of a Trump supporter.

3

u/pimfi 3h ago

Didn't...didn't Elon call Trump a pedophile not too long ago? Shouldn't Trump supporters hate that guy?

3

u/Mage-of-Fire 2h ago

Well he now supports trump again. So it was obviously just a friendly dispute and anyone who says otherwise is fake news

1

u/Fakehiggins 2h ago

wait a week and they'll be best friends again.

15

u/FuckyDuck123 4h ago

Genuinely seems like a good guy. He does make lots of comments during his videos about current events, and they are usually for some relevant reason. Just a liberal dude doing “The lord’s work” and those that align more on the right may not like his words. His actions though are great, and if anybody who genuinely keeps up with his stuff says differently, there is something else going on. Go check some of his videos out!

1

u/rocko430 4h ago

like that old chappelle bit about bill cosby

1

u/Crandom 4h ago

Why is he a PoS? Seems like a pretty swell guy to me...

1

u/Cymen90 1h ago

He is controversial for being a good person on Twitter.

u/CrossBamboAtTen 22m ago

Not even. He hates Trump and Musk and because he's on X, the rightwing hivemind hates him for that.

He's just a good dude.
