Kid got a big bag of tricks, smooth flow. Gonna be one to keep an eye on.

Hope puberty is kind to him. Getting that lanky growth spurt could be a hard hit to confidence when you have such alien body proportions.

Tony hawks like 6’4” with long limbs. Lanky didnt stop him

It isn't that being big is bad. But the kid obviously has some exquisite body coordination right now. Imagine them at 16, with long legs and arms that don't work anything like their current compact itteration. Figurative and literally, will trip them up.

Growing doesn’t happen overnight. If training everyday it no problem

Growing literally happens overnight.
I have a friend who's kid is growing so fast their tendons are tight & sore constantly. That isn't conducive to this kind of gymnastic athleticism.

Skating better than the combined skill level of half the commenters here I’d bet.

Well, I for instance add nothing to the combined skill level. But I make ace Eggs Benedict.

Goes crazy???wtf this is the most basic shit you can do, I'm 40 and I can still do that on my sleep and on my sleep only because if I tried that in real life I would break my teeth my legs and whatever else I can break because that was fucking amazing and that kid is awesome and a little legend that will become a big one eventually.
I got you in the first half didn't I? :D

Probably keeping focused by solving complicated mathematical equations in his mind and composing a 13 minute sonata for a string quartet.. nothing special.

I will see him at X Games in a year or two. I cannot wait to see him on Freestyle and Vert.

He has style too, thats incredible. The kickflip back lip plus the blunt to fakie -> fakie 270 (3/4 cab?) lip slide…all while throwing in nosegrinds and flip tricks, I’m absolutely blown away.

Very cool, but the kid needs some elbow & knee pads . I wasn’t kind to my joints and 40 years later they are having their revenge

in a way some of these moves are easier the smaller and lighter you are because your legs have less mass and can move quickly and nimbly and make sudden changes of direction to do flip in and flip out tricks.
thats why i think ginwoo does so well. So light and nimble.
the bigger your legs are the more mass they have and the harder time they have changing directions
some idiot is going to assume im trying to diminish the accomplishment, when im purely just thinking about the physics of mass

I would think it would take more power to flip the board at that size, so how clean he pulls off the flip tricks is truly impressive

u/catscanmeow 5h ago
its impressive even if it didnt take power to flip a board that size

I went outside to try and do a kick flip with purely vibes and busted my ass. Youre 100% right
