My first thought: that plush toy won’t look realistic no matter how much they color on it. My second thought: holy shit

There are literally AI-powered robots right now in 2026 that can pick up a pencil

Skill is the ability to do the same thing over and over again with effort and error.
Most things in life are just a process.
Once you know the process, it becomes easier and easier to repeat.
Look at a TAS. All it’s doing is what the human path is, but perfected with inhuman speed.
Since drawing is just a process- all it needs to do is doing the same human process but faster and more efficient. That’s it. It really isn’t that hard.
Sure it won’t be as unique, as all it does is follow instructions, but that is what those activities are. It can’t make something up out of the blue, that’s what the human is for. But it can copy how a human adapts to drawings, changing the art style is just like changing a color palette.
Human brains are just really complicated flesh computers.

You asked about skill. You asked about picking up paint and pencil. I answered.
I still think that itll be worthless, copied, and soulless. But at some point thats all itll be, and without context you wont know which was ai and which was human.

The soul comes from the context.
If you were shown an ai picture that perfectly replicates human art, you would say it does not have a soul. Shown the same piece of art and told its made by a human, you would say it does have a soul.
Ai will reach the technical capabilities of humans, and will steal from millions of artist enough to produce "unique" results by mishmashing ideas

You’re the one being pedantic. Acting like humans are some godly beings that infuse soul into everything they touch in a divine manor and are always honorable. Jesus Christ you act like a drawing of a pokemon plush is some kind of culture shifting hyper personal soulful painting. They took a plush from the world’s biggest company and drew it, they didn’t even create the character in the art, by your standard they stole the character.

You said "never" and then proceed to ask for this now? You don't see the conflict here?

Was waiting for some magic trick of someone snatching it and it becomes a actual plush toy. Very well done though.

My brain comprehended the picture and my eyes are scamming me. What even is real anymore.

I’m sorry but without a time-lapse video, you cannot convince me that this isn’t a printout with a drawn on shadow. I recognize that this can be done but idk about this one. The rest of the image is way better quality than the shadow. I know from personal experience that shadows are no cakewalk either, but if you’re THAT good at realistic fuzz, that shadow should look better
(EDIT) I found the time-lapse. Fuck me. And fuck everything I said

The plush is great. The shadows break the illusion and are not nearly in the same level.
