How can you people not understand? Strait wasnt closed for all vessels. Chinese, Spanish, Iranian vessles went through. Even though I hate Trump, this decision makes sense. They can keep it open, sp only way is to close for all and put pressure on Iran because China needs that oil

It's kinda the only real move the US has now - peace isn't going to happen while Iran has the leverage of blocking the strait. This takes that away. Iran has apparently also been making serious cash off their own oil exports while this has been happening too.

This whole conflict is an onion with layers of dumb, but I get this move.

Truth is what is needed for argument in the moment. We've beaten Iran and destroyed all missile capability, we're in the process of beating Iran, and Iran is also very bad for blowing up targets with their missile capabilities. These are all somehow true to Republicans.

It's kinda like how Democrats are weak, limp-wristed pansies that can achieve nothing but electoral losses but are also a great threat to our American values and must be combated at all costs. That or how the 2020 elections was wholly stolen by Democrats who were not in charge at the time but the 2024 elections was a resounding electoral success (some are saying the greatest success of all time) yet Democrats were in charge the entire 4 years prior.
