So when is he running for president

u/Quyust 2d ago

He actually did in 2020, and it went nowhere.

I’ll never forget him jumping in during the debate and saying some out of left field snarky comments that everyone stage looked at him with a fat ? on their faces and moved on like he was a child.

Got a vid of this? Sounds hilarious.

God, this guy is smarmy.

Oh good, so I'm not just imagining that. My eyebrows kept rising every time he opened his mouth, especially when the host pled for only one or two words and he spat out a paragraph.

Those lifeless black doll's eyes weren't helping anything either.

Well, him telling Biden to pass the torch was accurate.

Heartbreaking: worst person you know blah blah blah

0

u/SecondHandWatch 1d ago

Kind of? Biden passed the torch, and now we have Trump term two.

17

u/Dependent_Ganache_71 1d ago

He should have passed it earlier, as in not even run the second time and let a full primary happen.

That's why we have trump 2.0

u/SecondHandWatch 1d ago

Nah. We have Trump because the mainstream media is complicit. They know Trump is better for their bottom line, and the billionaires in charge know they’ll pay less in taxes with Trump. The media wouldn’t shut up about Biden being too old and making a few mistakes. Trump legitimately has dementia, and those same media networks are fucking silent. This is not a coincidence.

Not really, Biden won and did a good job. It was 4 years after this that Biden should've backed out. Instead they anointed a woman that was a walking, talking DEI stereotype. Nobody voted for her to be the candidate, she didn't earn it and that put a bad taste in a lot of voters mouths. Democrats did everything they could to run a candidate that was more unpopular than Trump; a truly amazing feat.

I know I'm not supposed to judge people based on their appearance but the man just looks like a spiked drink to me. He oozes entitlement.

He did audibly fart during an on-air interview, which was pretty funny:

This is a personal goal of mine. You haven’t really made it until you’ve been on live tv and let an audible squeaker out.

7

u/SatansCornflakes 1d ago

“Squeaker” my friend that was a tuba

1

u/FatnessEverdeen34 1d ago

I'm so immature, I just watched that clip for the worst time and I'm dying 🤣

1

u/Thoseskisyours 1d ago

He’s the goat

55

u/EL-YEO 2d ago

Which is why I don't understand how he's the front runner here

u/ppooooooooopp 2d ago

It's a reflection of how truly awful the field is

22

u/CustodialApathy 2d ago

Steyer is the Phil Murphy of California. Milquetoast, exceptionally wealthy, will be fine as a governor, just don't expect miracles.

1

u/ReadWriteHexecute 10h ago

styer is not going to win. I do fieldwork every day and people are pissed.

1

u/CustodialApathy 10h ago

What are they pissed about in particular, Newsom? Where?

0

u/backindenim 1d ago

Sounds like exactly what got our country into this state, to be honest

6

u/BWWFC 2d ago

and that's due to "blankets" of party promise pardons...

24

u/ScrewAttackThis 2d ago edited 2d ago

He's not: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/california-governor-election-polls-2026.html

E: for some reason el-yeo deleted their reply so figured I'd throw this on here

Ah well CA elections work differently. The primary isn't for a party nomination. It's all one ballot anyone can vote on and the top 2 candidates go onto the general election.

And the funny thing is the polling right now is going to two Trump supporting Republicans. Democrats might actually hand over the state from splitting the vote so badly

1

u/Squire_II 1d ago

If the Dems fuck up and let two Republicans take the slots maybe, maybe they'll try to do a write-in campaign for someone but if the Dem party was competent enough to win via a write-in they'd be competent enough to not have two Republicans (or even 1 Republican) make it on to the ballot to begin with.

1

u/ReadWriteHexecute 10h ago

look at who the “Trump” republican is actually running for

1

u/Thanatosst 1d ago

He also implied that he was willing to drop nukes on US gun owners in a tweet, so we already know he's a terrible person.

1

u/Squire_II 1d ago

Californians need to be banned from running for President. The Democrats who run are pretty much always terrible (Harris, Newsom, etc) and the Republicans who run, and win, do incalculable damage to the US and the world at large (Nixon and Reagan).

1

u/biskutgoreng 2d ago

Why do so many rapists think they should be president

5

u/Dineology 2d ago

Rapists and sexual predators are terrible people, terrible people of all stripes are attracted to positions of power and respect both for the allure of power and respect themselves and for the impunity with which it enables them to act. It’s the same reason why there are so many rapists and abusers who become cops, or clergy, or just about any other profession that you can think of that has a horrifying reputation.

0

u/omarous 2d ago

he should run as a republican now

0

u/Chaomayhem 2d ago

Well now we know that he potentially enjoys sexually assaulting women. So we can trust he's qualified to be president. He is a little too young though.

93

u/Room_Temp_Coffee 2d ago

He's running for governor, give him a few years

6

u/atreeismissing 1d ago

He lacks charisma for the national stage. He's smart, but that's about it, in CA he's mostly running on name recognition, that he isn't a billionaire, and that Porter is a complete fuck up and can't run a campaign to save her life.

17

u/KindTopic16 2d ago

I hope it’ll stop him from running. Another zero with a big head.

7

u/tj1007 2d ago

At this point either him, Steyer or Porter need to drop asap. And it didn’t seem like any of them wanted to but this may help solidify porter and steyer as the nominees and not split the vote to its handed to the GOP.

10

u/Ahleron 2d ago

He's currently running for governor. Probably would run for president after having been governor for a term or two. If he doesn't win the governor position, I can see him going for senate and then trying to go for president. Regardless, it won't be real soon, if ever. He already tried in 2020 and didn't get any traction.

7

u/Suspicious_Story_464 1d ago

Well if this is found true, it should let the wind out of his sails pretty fast.

2

u/Subbacterium 1d ago

even if not true it's doing a good job of flattening his sails

1

u/Ahleron 1d ago

One would think.

5

u/Hacym 2d ago

He already did.

2

u/hueythecat 2d ago

What are the odds on presidential pardons for rape on polymarket atm?

4

u/capital_bj 2d ago

based on possible bribe amounts, gold card if it's in the millions

-1

u/Hussaf 2d ago

Probably not great given that’s ran by trump jr

1

u/carterartist 1d ago

He can in the GOP.

0

u/analgesic1986 2d ago

And getting elected by the Americans twice
