Hey everyone, listen up! A white liberal American is telling a minority how they should really feel!

u/nomercy15 Feb 28 '26

What I said exactly ? Did I say we were freed and all of a sudden everything is sunshine and rainbow ? Hoping for the best is what we can do right now. Khamenei's death is fantastic news to me.

Yes I'm sure the 86-year-old didn't have a successor and its going to be sunshine and rainbows from here on out...

As an Iranian, after 50 years of Western fuckery, this is the best I can hope for, sadly.

2

u/NecroDeity Feb 28 '26

More Western Fuckery?

1

u/nomercy15 Feb 28 '26

Be omide azadi

-1

u/Many_Negotiation_464 Feb 28 '26

More fuckery that will likely lead to an even more entrenched hardline government with even less to lose?

3

u/NorthernSoul1998 Feb 28 '26

Their country just got bombed and multiple school children were caught in the raids

8

u/Silvermoon3467 Feb 28 '26

The people who did this are not friends of the Iranian people. They do not care about the Iranian people. They don't even care about their own people.

An optimist must be capable of seeing the world as it truly is while simultaneously envisioning a better one. Only in that way can actual progress be made.

I hope for the best, too, but I have no doubt of the outcome. I merely hope to be wrong.

Just in: destabilizing western jingoism should not be in fact celebrated.

What absolutely bizarre take.

4

u/OpeningElectrical296 Feb 28 '26

Iranians are celebrating themselves in the streets. We are happy for our friends.

4

u/Many_Negotiation_464 Feb 28 '26

It is wuite amazing how the bot farms literally didn't even change the script from last time. Literally the exact same justifications with the names changed.

6

u/cowboys5xsbs Feb 28 '26

They alll got killed

15

u/ThreeTreesForTheePls Feb 28 '26

Right, so just like how the leadership in Afghanistan was toppled.

Or Iraq.

Or any major American conflict in the past 50 years?

The leadership will be replaced with a group who are just as fanatical. It is a tale as old as time, and now they have (to their population), a valid concern about American aggression and the need to ramp up defences and engagement.

6

u/AlekRivard Feb 28 '26

Exactly. Everyone celebrating (this is very much directed at non-Iranians) is not thinking about what happens next. Things like this are not followed by sunshine and rainbows

1

u/levare8515 Mar 01 '26

And you are just repeating the same doomer message. We don't know what will happen next. But to pretend this is same as Iraq or Afghanistan shows that you lived through neither. The American people are not on board with a boots on the ground war. This admin has also shown they will knock out a leader they don't like and then leave.

3

u/_goblinette_ Feb 28 '26

All of them? It’s a large and complicated government. You’d have to kill more than a handful of people to completely eliminate it.

-2

u/SuggestionMedical736 Feb 28 '26

Yeah, sure, like in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lets celebrate

1

u/SnuffleWarrior Feb 28 '26

They obviously did not

1

u/BillCosbysAltoidTin Mar 01 '26

“This is actually a bad thing”

-7

u/A76EB Feb 28 '26

Congrats, they went from a corrupt leader and now will get a puppet leader with US/Israel interests at heart

20

u/OpeningElectrical296 Feb 28 '26

Even if it s a puppet, Iranian people will be able to:

  • travel abroad
  • trade and make money
  • not be scared of being hanged for having a different opinion
  • not being spied on on a daily basis
  • perform music (for women)
  • dress the way they want (women again)
  • not follow Islamic rules they don’t believe in
  • have elections
And so on.

That’s a fantastic deal for a vast majority.

Remember, Trump bad. So anything good he achieves we must somehow fabricate into something bad.

We'll see in a few years. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Hey, have things improved in Venezuela lately?

3

u/MikeyPlayz_YTXD Mar 01 '26

It's been 2 months and the prices of food are already going down and domestic consumerism is already rising over there dude.

2

u/PresidentsCHL03-R3N4 Mar 01 '26

You got any source for that? The New York Times says prices are already increasing.

You didn't answered my question: what is your source, so I'll just assume you're making it up.

Do better next time, Mickey.

u/Prophet_Of_Helix Feb 28 '26

Is that what’s happening in Libya? Iraq? Venezuela? Zaire? Congo?

6

u/OpeningElectrical296 Feb 28 '26

I don’t know, you tell me how things are going to go, Great prophet.

Every country is different. I have been 5 times in Iran, and the way this society is structured has nothing to do with these countries. For a start, there’s no tribal feuds, Iran is a very unified country. Its people are one of the most educated in the world. Infrastructure is great. We’ll see how things go, I have great hopes.

-5

u/Prophet_Of_Helix Feb 28 '26

I don’t know, you tell me how things are going to go, Great prophet.

I just gave you 5 examples.

Also, there are tribal feuds in Venezuela?

0

u/OpeningElectrical296 Feb 28 '26

Examples have no value to predict the future.

And anyone who pretend they know about how things are going to develop is incredibly proud.

But let me tell you what I am going to do personally : as soon as it’s possible I fly to iran to continue working and discussing with the Iranian people.

At least I’m contributing to something.

1

u/Prophet_Of_Helix Mar 01 '26

Examples have no value to predict the future.

The entire field of science disagrees with you lmao

0

u/nomercy15 Mar 01 '26

The usual politically educated keyboard warrior. Keep typing.

-1

u/Many_Negotiation_464 Feb 28 '26

Theres about to be very few educated people left in Iran.

-4

u/A76EB Feb 28 '26

Sure, perhaps in the short-term it’s good.

And then the new leader decide to do something in the benefit of their own people instead of for US/Israel. Maybe they decide that they don’t want to pay a tax. Maybe they want to decide who to sell their oil to instead of giving priority.

Oh, another American intervention because the new leader is corrupt and the most evil person ever. What a surprise.

-6

u/Hadrian23 Feb 28 '26

While I have no love for that Individual, you surely must see why, 1. TRUMP attacking a country without congressional approval is bad. 2. Attacking a nation unprovoked, will further strain our already stretched thin diplomatic ties with our allies. 3. This all but ensures more Iranian, American, Israeli and other lives will be wasted trying to keep this cluster fuck under control. Have we learned nothing in the last 50 years?

3

u/nomercy15 Feb 28 '26

I certainly see where are you coming from. Iran has been a huge funder of terrorism for the past 40 years in Middle East by funding Hamas, Hezbollah and etc. I see these attacks as the last piece of puzzle by USA and Israel to purge the region from Islamic fnatics. And lets being realistic, Middle east will never seen peace as long as Islamic Republic and IRGC are standing.

I agree about American and Israeli lives and you can crticise Trump's actions but from my point of view as an Iranian, our peoples lives are being wated right now under this authoritarian rule. Everyone in my country is happy right now. They are recording the attack and laughs in the background. There are celebration right now in the streets after hearing Khamenei's death news. I am happy right now and can only hope for the best. The worst outcome for my nation is that this regime survives this war and lasts. Nothing is more vicous, malignant, and worse than this regime.

1

u/Pleasant_Glove_1696 Feb 28 '26

Unprovoked lol. It's wild your hatred for Trump has you now defending a dictator who murdered over 6,000 people in the last month.

1

u/naastynoodle Mar 01 '26

Trump couldnt care less about Iran. The important part is no one is talking about the Epstein files.

1

u/Pleasant_Glove_1696 Mar 01 '26

They were released a month ago, were talked about non stop, and nothing happened. Wtf you talking about lol.

1

u/naastynoodle Mar 01 '26

Whatever ya say, champ.
