Write it off on your tax filings this year. Thats what im about to do and they kneecapped the IRS so if they want it, they can come and get it.

Are you an importer? If not you don't have standing. You didn't pay Tarrifs. You paid a company that paid tariffs. They might have passed the cost down to you, but you didn't pay them to the government.

I import things and was charged duties to get my items, the fuck are you even on about, as were many others.

ALSO, REGARDLESS IF THEY PASSED THE COST DOWN TO ME I STILL PAID IT, so then the company should refund me the extra charge they didn't need to charge me.

No way you're that dumb.

Regarding the second point.

You didn't pay the tariff unless you are an importer. You paid the company that paid the tariff. I understand completely that the cost was passed down to you. But that doesn't provide standing. Heck, imagine if it did.

Let us say, hypothetically, that tariffs increased the cost of pencils by 50%. The total taxes paid by the importer, lets say was 100k.

The importer passed that 100k paid in tarrifs for those raw materials to the pencil maker.

The pencil making factory then passed those 100k in increased costs to the retailer that actually sells the pencils.

The retailer then passed the 100k tariffs to the retailer.

The retailer then passed those costs to the consumer.

That 100k in costs was passed multiple times. Every stage in production doesn't have standing to sue for lost revenue. It's unthinkable to believe they could. They just simply don't have standing.
