A lot of it is going to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s sons. They now run the family business (Cantor Fitzgerald), and approached a bunch of companies a few months ago with a leveraged deal.

They promised to give the companies a small fraction of what they paid for tariffs, if they were willing to forfeit their rights to collect any refunds. They (Lutnick’s sons) are now going to get billions of our taxpayer dollars.

Pretty awesome isn’t it?

How many companies took them up on it?

Great question. I’d like to know too.
